Jayson: "Maybe a little." *stands up and stretches* "Ouch." *winces at shoulders*

Iye: Not in a story? Shame on your author! *ceases paying attention*

Me: Hey, bud, you should probably be watching...um, Iye? Iye!

Iye: Gak! It's going to get me!

Me: Relax. CannonBall in not a Gak. You'd think you would know another dragon when you saw one. And you're the one who signed up for this. So why don't you grab a snack of courage and fight back?

Iye: Oh. Okay. *lashes tail. spits green fire in warning* How's that?

Me: *head in hands* This is so not working...

Iye: Well, you should just write me braver. And bigger. And maybe red instead of green. Or black. Black would be nice...

Me: Focus!

Iye: Right! I'm focusing!

Cannon Ball: Seriously, kid, that is the farthest from focusing I've seen in ages.

Ionas: Go easy on him!

Cannon Ball: I am. **green fire splashes harmlessly off of her scales** ** sends a considerably larger burst of red fire in return**

Iye: Gak!!!

Me: I told you, Iye, there are no--

Iye: Stuff it! I'm melting!!!!

Me: Iye, you are NOT melting. You are a dragon, Dragons do not melt.

Iye: Tell phsyco-dragon that. *clambers up a tree to hide* I'm not coming down.

Me: *glancing at random tree* Hmm. That was handy. And CannonBall is not a phsyco-dragon! Honestly!

Cannon Ball: You're not melting, and I am not psycho! *knocks down tree* Stop being a coward, and fight me!

Me: Eeek. o.o

Iye: Are we still fighting? You haven't let me in here lately and I forgot...

Me: Yes. You're still fighting. And you are, er...were up in a tree. But Cannon Ball knocked it down, so now you have to figure something else uot. Hoenstly, if you didn't want to fight, why did you say you did?

Iye: I do, I do. I just...didn't really get what it was all about. *advances warily at Cannon Ball, leaps into the air and pounces on other--somewhat more impressive, larger, scarier--dragon with a roar and some green fire* I've got you now!

Me: That's better. Just watch out!

**all my dragons vanish** Sorry guys. I don't really have the time for RPs. However, Lye, this means you win by default. Congrats.

Cannon Ball (from somewhere else): Hey!! No fair!!! I was completely creaming him!!!

Me: Shush and be a good sport, 'kay?

Cannon Ball:

Iye: *deflates* Their gone?

Me: Yup. And you won! Congratulations!

Iye: *pouting* But maybe I didn't want to win...

Chayn: [Sits back, looking pleased] Does that mean I win against Cat-Dragon?

Me: You probably wouldn't have otherwise.

Chayn: You doubt my power?

Me: No. But he was better.

Cat-Dragon: Oh yeah! I was fighting too! This isn't fair, Manda.

Me: Get out of the thread already, dragons!

Me: You betcha! All dragons are welcome. I might even bring in another one.

Chayn: [Snort] Ha! I win!

Me: You'll make him angry.

Chayn: I'll take my chances.

Mylo: I wouldn't.

Chayn: Because you hide all the time and dare not upset anyone. I'm not so-

Me: I will let him hurt you. He can, you know.

Mylo: [Tail lashes out, splashes several dragons nearby]

Iye: Hey! Watch what you're doing, there. Authoress, can you get some of your other dragons in here too? PLEASE?!

Me: Why, so you can challenge them to a duel and then find out you can't fight all over again? Nah-ah, I don't think so. Go play with the nice dragons over there.

Iye: *rolls eyes* I'm not a hatchling.

Me: I'm not bringing in any other dragons. Not yet, anyway.

Iye: Not even Ditri?

Me: I'm tired of Ditri.

Iye: I'll tell him you said that.

Me: Um, yeah, like that's going to happen. You don't even know where I keep his story and you can't operate my computer, or hold a pen without crushing it, gauging the paper, or causing it all to burst into flames.

Iye: How nice of you to point out my short-comings.

Me: Just go make friends, will you?

*silently walks in with a enormous bag, and takes out Five Dragon Eggs, one Sky Blue, one Dark Blue, another Red, a Brown Egg, then the last Grey.*

Me: They will hatch very soon. There names are, Aero, Aqua, Pyro, Terra, and Gelātus. There names are from Latin: Air, Water, Fire, Earth, and Ice or Frozen.

A defining Crack fills the room.

Aero: Hmm...everyone is larger than me.

Me: [Squeals] Beh-bee dragons!

Mylo: Author. Out.

Me: My one obedient dragon just sassed me...

Chayn: [Nudges hatchlings one by one] Welcome to the world, little ones.

Me: Look out, mother instinct is kicking in.

Mylo: [Laughs]

Chayn: [Ignores] Don't worry. You will grow soon enough. It isn't all bad being small. Little ones like you are much more agile than us big dragons.

Aqua: *Slowly walks towards the water, and looks inside seeing dragons having fun*

Terra: It's okay Aqua. You will be able it join sometime soon, but after all we are still hatchlings.

Pyro: Well we might as well get accounted with the rest of the dragons.

Me: Go ahead. Just don't get in trouble.

Aero: Follow me.

Gelātus: Wait for me!

Iye: *points excitedly* Look! See? That person brought five dragons! Why can't you?

Me: Well, maybe because I don't have five dragons?

Iye: *counts* Ditri, Phyletus, Grinl, myself, Perpendicular--

Me: Perpendicular does not count.

Iye: Does too!

Me: No. He's your imaginary friend.

Iye: *huffs* He's your muse.

Me: *glancing guiltily down at signature* Shut your mouth and go be friendly.

Iye: Only if you bring Perp in.

Me: *throws hands in the air* He doesn't even talk! Look. I'll find another dragon to stick in here to help you outy. But only if you go and be friendly first.

Iye: Deal. *turns to multi-hued hatchlings* Hullo, there! I'm Iye, like I and like eye, but not like aye. How are you?

Me:

Mylo: [Sniffs hatchlings] Hello there!

Chayn: [Watches the little dragons carefully]

Me: Chayn, they have their author. They're fine. Now, I'm going to find another dragon. Just because I want to.

Chayn: Rowen?

Me: No. She's a dragon you haven't met. Be right back. [Leaves, then comes back] Alright! Here's Salora, all!

Salora: Dragons! More of them!

Chayn: This mischief-maker is here?

Me: Be nice. You're lucky Ross isn't here.

Salora: Ross can't come?

Mylo: Dragons only. Come meet the babies.

Salora: [Looks at hatchlings] Hello there.

*Aero looks at the rest*

Aero: We are all fine. This are the rest of my clan, I'm sure ME already introduced us to you?

Salora: [Laughs] Me is our author, Aris. She shows up a lot more than we do.

Me: ...

Salora: Anyway, it's awesome to meet you all! I haven't seen another dragon, like, ever, so this place is epic.

Me: She's really a human turned dragon. She just hasn't found a way to change back yet.

Salora: Yeah, because that phony of a wizard was a total bust.

Me: And because she was originally human, she speaks like a human.

Chayn: That's why she sounds funny...

Iye: *blinks* She was turned into a dragon? *thinks a moment* Why would she want to turn back into a human? Dragons are epic.

Salora: Well, I've been human pretty much all my life. I remember nothing of my human life. I only know I was once human. I can't even remember my name. Salora is just the name Ross gave me so he had something to call me while we tried to find a remedy.

Chayn: [Huffs]

Mylo: Be nice. She's been through a lot.

Iye: Well, Salora is a very pretty name. Better than Iye.

Me: Don't start that again. You like your name.

Iye: Yes, I do like it. But it confuses people.

Me: It's short and it's funny and I'm your writer. End of discussion.

Iye: *points at authoress* She's in a bad mood.

Crystluna: ...I don't believe it. I almost want to deny reality, but that would mean not getting to enjoy it! But.. still... *shakes head*

???: *a soft croon is heard, before a muzzle nudges Crystluna's shoulder*

Crystluna: *absently reaches back to pat the dragon head nuzzling her* *sighs* Well... I guess there's only one thing to do besides die, which means I must resort to fainting, but seeing as how I don't know how to do even that, I should just settle for being paralyzed and gaping stupidly at the adorable little creations yonder. *another nudge along with a warm breath of a sigh rustles her hair. Enough to stop her ramblings as was the point.* All right... *straightens up from sullen position and addresses rest of rp-ers there.* Yo. *a nip at the ear causes her to yelp* Hey!! Just because I'm not much of a writer doesn't mean you can start bossing me around!

???: *a gentle chortle is all that answers*

Crystluna: *glowers, but glare soon softens to resigned chagrin* *arches eyebrow* I suppose you win this round, huh? Well! I'm guessing everyone must be curious who in the universalies I am talking to, neh? *mood brightens with a grin as a dramatically flourishes arms to the side while stepping back in a flashy presentation way* Presenting the bashful yet quirkily enough introspective and therefore thoughtful plus God-fearing dragon femme- *pauses for... that word people use in tense situations but on purpose for melodramatic shows and moments.* -Orian!!

Orian: *the light blue dragon shuffles awkwardly in place with so much attention on her. Subtley edges to hide again behind her authoress.*

Crystluna: *blinks, then grin falters into a stern glare as her arms settle at her sides again.* Don't... call me that again.

Orian: *smiles weakly before once again hiding behind her autho- Crystluna. Which is quite comical since she is about the size of Saphira from Eragon and at best can only hide her head. ...and Orian curls her prehensile tail around her at the teasing description*

Iye: *bows as elegantly as a bright green dragon with an imaginary friend can manage* Welcome, Orian.

Me: *pokes Iye's bony shoulder* Ahem.

Iye: Oh. Welcome also, Crysa-person.

Me: IYE!

Iye: What? She's a person. I don't talk to persons.

Me: Then what do you call what you are doing right now?

Iye: You are my author and I cannot refuse. You don't count as a person.

Me: Is that some sort of backwards compliment or a really weird insult? Anyway, what about Nikk? You like Nikk, don't you?

Iye: I do. However, Nikk is fictional and therefore also does not count as being classified a person. *turns back to Orian* It is fabulous to meet you. The other dragons have abandoned us or fallen strangely silent and my author won't let me poke them or play dominos with them.

Me: Ugh. Ignore him if you like, Crystluna. He's being incorrigible--as usual, actually.

Iye: It's your fault you know.

Me: Be quiet.

Crystluna: *thinking* ...Huh. I didn't know dragons could bow. Like... at all.

Orian: *curious, so peers around Crystluna's shoulder at the quirky duo*

Crystluna: Oh, it's fine Mz. Caeli.

Orian: *looks at Crystluna questioningly* Incorribigble...?

Crystluna: Uh... no. But amusing aren't they?

Orian: *snorts*

Crystluna: Ew! Yuck! Plegh! *cleans tongue with shirt frantically* You almost got dragon boogies in my mouth! In my mouth!

Orian: *looks unimpressed* T_ T *...if not also slightly amused*

Crystluna: *huffs* Fine. Whatever. If I die because of some dragon bacteria that my human body system can't take- *grumbling indignantly*

Orian: *Turns to greet the quirky duo--Yes, I think she has decided to dub you two that. Congratulations on your new title then.--and smiles with a respectful head bow. ...She wasn't sure if she could pull off a full-scale bow like Iye did.*

Crystluna: Hey, Mz. Caeli? I think we have something in common besides the obvious. Both of our characters seem to purposely antagonize us. ...Or at least make their author look bad. (Yes, Orian. I used the "A" word.)

Iye: Alright, first of all: 'dragon bacteria'?? Just what are you insinuating? *leans closer to Crystluna, glowering and doing his best to appear menacing and rather a bit larger than he is* I am a scientist, I'll have you know, and I find it absolutely insulting that you--

Me: Iye! Go rant your frustrations to someone who cares.

Iye: I can't. *huffs* Remember? You won't allow Perpendicular to come in.

Me: He's your imaginary friend. How can I stop you?

Iye: Is that permission?

Me: Uh...no. Actually, it's not. *ignores her character for the moment* I like 'quirky duo'. It's quite fitting and sounds nice.

Iye: *muttering* Quirky.

Me: So what are you and your lovely dragoness up to? *waves around at the empty-ish room* Not much going on in here at the moment.

Crystluna: *leaned away from Iye then breathed a sigh of relief when he moved away finally* Well, glad you approve. Certainly better than disapproving.

Orian: *watching the banter like a tennis match*

Crystluna: Well we- *notices her dragon is preoccupied* Uh... I'll just answer for both of us. We're basically just dilly-dallying here like you are, I guess.

Orian: *tunes in. But first affirms is still close by and slightly behind Crystluna, before cocking head with a curious look at Iye. Nuzzles Crystluna's shoulder with a whuff.* I do not know this dragon. *pauses* Nor do I know this other au-Cila? ...And who's ..Per-pen-dik-koo-larr?

Crystluna: How am I supposed to know that?! *looks at Quirky Duo cooly* I believe that is your cue for story time. Or, in the character's case, background check! *gives a cheeky grin pointedly at Iye*

Me: Well, Iye is not one of my main characters.

Iye: Says you.

Me: He's a side character who decided to pop up unexpectedly during the writing of last year's NaNoWriMo Project, Until the Fire Falls. Nikk, we mentioned him earlier I think, is actually that story's main character. Iye was the comic relief and managed to get me through the end of the month.

Iye: I take that as a compliment.

Me: It was a compliment, now quit interrupting.

Iye: *huffs and pulls a 'humans are crazy' expression directed to Orian*

Me: But Iye is the only dragon I have in any current stories, so when I saw this thread, I decided to bring him here and let him converse.

Iye: Don't forget about Perp.

Me: Oh, yes. Perpendicular is the name of a tiny almost non-existent dragon Iye claims as a friend. Sadly, he didn't show up until after NaNoWriMo was over. He would have provided me with some excellent word counts. Oh, and by almost non-existent I mean that he's invisible, but Iye can see him sometimes--

Iye: So I'm seeing things now, am I?

Me:--and he generally gets blamed for whenever someone gets a rock in their shoe, or has a twig poking them in the back, or supplies go missing.

Iye: He offended a wizard once, you see.

Me: Offended big-time. The wizard decided to knock Perp out of existence altogether, but he was already close friends of Iye. And, as you may or may not realize, anything remembered cannot truly be gone. So, well, there's a tiny invisible green dragon--hummingbird sized, I'm told--that travels with his good friend Iye, who is now the only person who knows he even exists. If, indeed, Perp does exist.

Orian: *chuckles*

Crystluna: What an interesting... ideaology. ...He what?

Orian: *nudges Crystluna's shoulder* What's a wizard?

Crystluna: Oh. A wizard is... *gets distracted by last comment by Caeli.* He- *suddenly guffaws* If indeed!

Orian: *huffs, disliking being ignored purposely. Or brushed off, for that matter, by her authoress.* What is a wizard! *pauses* And... can I see Perp?

Iye: *finishing Crystluna's thought* A wizard is...well, a wizard. *glances at his author* Don't think I've ever had to explain that one before...much less to another of my esteemed species.

Me: A wizard is a magician, a person who uses magic in some form or other. They can be good or evil, using magic as a tool like the rest of us use our hands.

[Nay stupidity. Just reasonable inquiry. I suppose she is a mindspeaker, yes. And whenever I use italics for myself, it is my thoughts but Orian can still freely connect with my mind and mindspeak with me.]

Crystluna: Very true. *nodding in agreement* We accept the simple things that are common, but don't often stop to think about it until someone asks an innocent, but seemingly obvious, question. *pauses, then squints at Iye.* ...Are you an egoist, vainist, or other?

Orian: Ah. *nods understanding, then stops. Looks confuzzled* ...So magic hands?

[So does this mean that Iye (and myself) are unable to hear her?)

Me: *laughing* Ha! Ego...my, does he have an ego.

Iye: *sticks green tongue out* Some people have no appreciation of my genius, that's all.

Me: Be nice, or I'll take you out of here and stick you back in that dusty old book where you belong.

Iye: Then I'll only bother you from there, pleading with you to write my story.

[That... is a good question. I don't know. I suppose it just more so means that she can be more like a wild creature than only just a sentient, human-like dragon.
And... well it'd be kinda silly to say "no" at this point, since you've both been talking to her already. I suppose you could maybe cover up that Perp was tricking you two into thinking Orian could talk, but... yeah. She can talk. Heh. ]

Crystluna: Ya know... *thinking* ...That actually is a good argument. *seriously considering*

Orian: Is magic hands like jazz hands? *waits for response but then tires, so just lays down, slightly curling around Crystluna. She huffs through her nose as she glances up at the conversing group, before closing her eyes. She rests idly while listening to the chatter overhead as if it were soft lull.*

Iye: *considers other dragon with a confused frown* What are jazz hands? What's jazz? Sounds like some type of spicy soup.

Me: Wait. You're my character and you don't even know what jazz is?

Iye: Well. You never brought it up.

Me: It's music, not soup...and...*trails off* How is it that I am having a conversation with two dragons, one that doesn't know what jazz is but understands magic, and the other that doesn't know magic but is familiar with jazz?

Iye: Music? Like dance music, peasant music? Music of state, fanfare? A reel? I must admit my schooling must be of lack in some areas.

Me: *shaking head* With horns.

Iye: I know I have horns. I was asking about this 'jazz'.

Me: No! I meant that jazz has horns! As in, those things you blow into.

Iye: Oooh. But what are jazz hands?

Me: *headdesk* It's a dance move--kinda--that goes with jazz music. Like so: *demonstrates, waving hands to out to the sides, palms out, fingers spread.*

Iye: That looks ridiculous. *turns to Orian* Magic hands are not like jazz hands. I suppose a wizard might look like he's doing jazz hands when he is performing a spell...That would be funny. *tries a different tact* Magic is a bit like the wind: you don't see it, unless you see dust or water blown in it, but it moves things and can even change things, likes rocks over a long time.

Me: If this analagy is confused, you're clearing it up on your own, pal.

Enter Aeldn in human form accompanied by Me.

Aeldn:Uh-oh, being human could be dangerous right now...

Initiates shape-shift and starts growing into dragon-form. Shakes himself once fully dragon and looks around, eyes glowing intelligently, wings furled slightly.

Aeldn:Now I'm ready for introductions.

Me: Um, guys, this here is -

Aeldn: *roars out a huge interrupting blast of fire straight up into the air* Quiet, small one. *glints a playful eye at Me* I can do this one on my own. Am I not wiser than a sage of men?

Me: Er, well, yes, but I thought it would be nice to just...

Aeldn: ...to just make sure that you got your proper share of honor for "creating" me. Hah! I know you better than you know yourself. *lowers head to Me's level and looks Me in the eyes; speaks inside Me's mind*Don't worry. I'll do the introducing here...

Me: *sigh* Very well.

Aeldn: *over-impressively pompous* Attention, all you dragons! This is my "creator." *sweeps hand in Me's direction, almost knocking Me over* ...he wanted to be introduced here. *As an aside.*

Me: *shrinks and tries to disappear* I'm waaaaay too tiny. I should have limited how big he can grow *double-facepalm*

Aeldn: *loud whisper* You can go now. You've been properly introduced.

Me: Okay, okay. I get your point. You're the star of the show here, not me.

Aeldn: *snort* I'm not the star. I'm the DRAGON.

Me: One of many, remember. And technically, you're a wyrm... *as he is exiting*

Aeldn: Goodbye. *turns to everyone else with a laughing gleam in his eyes* Sorry about that. He tends to be rather big-headed (don't tell him I said that). But anyway, I'm Aeldn, and I didn't even know I was a dragon - excuse me, a wyrm - until a few days ago, so please excuse me if I'm a little sloppy on dragon-manners.
