Mordir: [Yelps in surprise, then knees Jay in the gut]

Me: [Whispers] They're both wearing out, I think.

Mordir: Did you say something?

Me: Nope.

Jay: * growls in pain *

Me: "Ouch."

Jay: "Yeah.." * punches Mordir in the face *

Me: "Owwwww..."

Mordir: [Grabs Jay's wrist and twists him onto the ground]

Me: You should quit before you lose what's left of your dignity.

Mordir: Assassins don't usually have dignity, do they?

Me: I have no idea.

Jay: * rolls with the movement, slamming Mordir down with him * * attempts to pin Mordir *

Me: "Do spies have dignity?"

Mordir: [Tries to get his feet under Jay, then kicks out at him]

Me: Probably more than assassins have.

Jay: * kicks Mordir's feet back *

Me: "Eh, depends, I guess."

Me: ROFL! Rare use of chatspeak.

Jay: "Say what?"

Mordir: [Scrambles backward in alarm as the old bald man runs in wielding his hammer] What in all Allare?!

Me: [Explodes into laughter] That was brilliant.

Mordir: Brilliant?! I think We almost got killed for something we didn't do.

Me: Oh relax. It was funny.

Mordir: Funny? I think I just had a heart attack.

Me: Be nice.

Mordir: Fine.

Mordir: Werewolves?

Me: Big, nasty wolves. Mutated.

Mordir: Oh. [Suddenly realizes something] So... St. Nicodemus is pretty strong.

Me: Be glad it's not him you're dueling.

Mordir: Yeah... [Shoves Jay toward the wall]

Jay: * trips Mordir *

Me: "It was brilliant, Ines."

Me: That brilliant. I got to see Mordir freak out. Almost scream like a girl.

Mordir: [Swings his leg out at Jay's legs as he falls. He smoothly gets to his feet and leaps at Jay, reaching for his neck] I do not scream like a girl.

Me: You almost did.

Mordir: I did not!

Jayson: * attempts to shove Mordir away from him *

Me: * grins hugely *

Mordir: [Rolls to the side, slams his foot into Jay's side] It's not funny.

Me: Be nice to authors.

Jayson: * winces and attempts to get up * "Ow..." * slumps back down * "Okay, that's not an option at the moment..."

Me: "Yes, Mordir, you are funny."

Me: See? It's funny!

Mordir: [A tiny smile twitches at the corner of his mouth, but soon disappears] ... Maybe... nevermind. [Launches himself at Jay, reaching once more for his neck]

Me: Did he almost agree with us?

Jayson: * growls and pinches the muscle in Mordir's hand between his thumb and forefinger *

Me: "It really does hurt..." "Did he?"

Me: I think he did! I think there might have even been a smile in there somewhere too!

Mordir: Oh please. I didn't agree- aaaagghhh! [Tries to jerk back, his face contorted with pain]

Me: [Presses her own muscle] That does hurt. And Jay's doing it harder.

Mordir: [Through gritted teeth] You... are so weird...

Me: What?

Me: * grins * "He'll never admit it, but I think you're right."

Jay: * snarls * "Give. Up."

Me:

Mordir: I. Don't. Give. Up! [Swings free hand at Jay's face]

Me: He's so stubborn.

Jayson: * is whacked * * nose starts bleeding * "Ow..."

Me: "There goes that shirt... Mordir is stubborn?"

Me: Stubborn, strong-willed. Take your pick.

Mordir: Let. Go! [Hand grabs Jay's throat and squeezes]

Me:

Jayson: * attempts to pry Mordir's hand off *

Me:

Mordir: [Squeezes harder] You picked the wrong man to duel.

Me: He's... so bloodthirsty.

Mordir: I'm an assassin. I have to be. [Looks at Jay] Give up?

Jayson: * grunts and knees Mordir in the stomach *

Me: "He just might rather die..."

Mordir: [Winces, his grip loosens] You're so dead!

Me: You're so dramatic.

Jayson: * gasps *

Me: "Happy to be breathing?"

Jayson: * takes in a huge breath * "No- I'm- not!"

Mordir: [Rams Jay against the wall, his shoulder ramming into his chest] I'm sorry, would you rather I strangled you more?

Me: Be nice.

Mordir: Be nice? We've been at each other all this time and now you tell me to be nice?!

Me: Good point. Give him a fighting chance, though.

Mordir: Why?

Me: Nevermind.

Jayson: * grunts and attempts to pummel Mordir's shoulder while shoving out from between him (Mordir) and the wall *

Me: "Eventually he'll simply collapse..."

Jayson: "Noooo, I won't." (to Mordir) "Happy to breathe, not 'sooo dead.'"

Mordir: [Stumbles back, catching himself against the wall] You.... are the most.... stubborn victim.... I've ever.... killed! [Leaps at Jay again]

Me: Because that worked so well last time.

Mordir: [Drops mid-air and swings leg out under Jay's feet, his hand snatching his dagger]

Me: Oi, what did I say about the weapons?

Mordir: [Ignores]

Me: Put it down, young man, before I do!

Mordir: [Growls and tosses it away] Meanie.

Jayson: "In case you are incapable of observing, I'm not killed."

Me: * whispers * "Yet."

Jayson:

Me: "Sorry. Continue your brilliance." * rolls eyes at Aris knowingly *

Jay: * slams his shoulder into Mordir while he is still in midair * "You think you're so clever, don't you?"

Mordir: True, you're not dead yet. But you will be.

Me: There's no end to their fighting with words.

Mordir: [Staggers back, but shoves Jay to the side, slamming his knee in his gut] I do, actually. You just now noticed?

Me: Overconfidence killed the cat.

Mordir: I thought that was curiosity?

Me: Meh, I've heard it both ways. (Whispers: Not really) Besides, overconfidence and curiosity are cousins.

Me: "No kidding."

Jayson: "Uh, wrong. Try again, buddy." * grimaces and attempts to slam his elbow into Mordir's upper arm *

Me:

Mordir: [Winces and grabs Jay's arm, twisting it behind him] I don't need to. I usually don't have to go for a second assassination on the same person I've killed.

Me: Now you're getting creepy.

Jayson: "Agh!" * hooks his leg around Mordir's and attempts to flip himself over and away *

Me: "That action make sense in my head... Let me know if I should clarify."

Jayson:

Me: * whacks *

Me: I think it does.

Mordir: [Lands flat on his back, but quickly pushes himself up and rams his shoulder into Jay]

Me: Someone's going to have a broken bone.

Jayson: * slams his fist into Mordir's back *

Me: "No kidding, and we aren't throwing dictionaries very often."

Jayson: "Hey! I could-!"

Me: "Spoke too soon." * wings dictionary at Jayson and hopes it doesn't boost his vocabulary *

Me: The way they yell at each other it might be best if it doesn't boost the vocabulary.

Mordir: [Stumbles and falls to one knee] Blade?! Please?! [Jumps at Jay, furious]

Me: No sir. You fight like a bear.

Mordir: Was that an order or an insult?

Me: See it as you like.

Me: "I was sure I responded to this.... Yeah, let's not boost their vocabulary."

Jayson: * socks Mordir on the side of the jaw *

Mordir: [Shoves Jay backward as he stumbles back, flexing his throbbing jaw] I'm getting tired of you. [Leaps forward, grabs his dagger, and slashes]

Me: Oi! What did I say?!

Mordir: Oh come on! I-

Me: No 'oh come ons', no blades! [Swipes dagger]

Mordir: You stink. [Lunges at Jay, but then ducks, rolls and springs up from behind and grabs him in a headlock]

Me: You're way too violent for your own good.

Jayson: * grunts and attempts to kick Mordir in the leg * * winded *

Me: "Heh. I was wondering when that would happen..."

Jayson: * growls *

Mordir: [Jumps back, dragging Jay with him] Give up yet?

Me: Don't kill him.

Mordir: Is that against the rules, too?

Me:

Jayson: "Not-- on-- your-- life!" *slams his elbow into Mordir's stomach, but not very forcefully*

Me: "They've been at this for a while now...

Mordir: [Winces and loosens his grip] I'm willing to negotiate, if you like. We neither of us seem to be gaining any ground for long periods of time.

Me: The assassin... negotiating... what's the world coming to?

Jayson: *gasps for air* "What.... What were you thinking?" *slumps on the floor*

Me: "And Jayson listening?!"

Mordir: Well... I was thinking we simply call it even. I can't think of any other way, besides me snappig her neck, but apparently I'm not allowed to do that.

Me: No you are not.

Mordir: Also... if we call it even, you do not mention a WORD of it. Tell them you won, if you like. But don't tell anyone we ended even.

Me: Scared your reputation will be destroyed?

Mordir: No.

Me: Yes. You're worried other villains will think you showed him mercy. And that idea drives you nuts.

Mordir: Oh, thanks, got any other secrets you'd like to spill?!

Jayson: "Fine by me..." *grimaces in pain and extends his hand* "Shake on it?"

Me: "You do realize that other people can see this thread...?"

Jayson: *glances at me* "Gee, thanks."

Me: "Heheh..."

Mordir: [Shakes Jay's hand] Fine.

Me: Are you two friends now?

Mordir: No one said anything about being friends! I haven't forgotten what he and his dragon did to me during the rebellion.

Me: You brought that upon yourself, sir.

Jayson: "And I'm not going to forget why Chayn and I came after him." (to Juliet) *bows* "We're what?"

Me: *huge grin* "I'm glad you've been enjoying it, Juliet!!" *bounces happily* (to Aris) "Somehow Mordir's reaction doesn't surprise me..."

Jayson: *slumps back on the floor* "I'm...tired?"

Me: "No, really?!"

Mordir: Chayn? I was talking about the other one. Chayn was going after what's-his-face for taking Shawn.

Me: And, whose idea was that?

Mordir: Not mine.

Me: -_- [To Shawn] Always one to make sure he doesn't appear weak.

Mordir: [To Rwebhu] We're... funny?

Me: I'm glad you enjoyed it. I had fun, too. They make an interesting pair.
