I just tried to pull up YouTube so I could link to a couple of songs, and it came up with a 500 Internal Server error message that said "....a team of highly trained monkeys has been dispatched to fix the issue..."

Well, that makes me feel a
whole lot better. Highly trained monkeys... who wouldn't be concerned?
Sorry. That was totally random...
Themes for characters... interesting. I have always listened to music when I write, but I listen to music appropriate for a particular scene in my book, like battle scenes, friendship scenes, melancholy scenes, etc. I hadn't ever thought about picking a particular song for each of my main characters. Thankfully, I know just the team of Independent Artists on YouTube to turn to...
Hmmm... let me think.....
Pharrgon (
far-gone), the dragon in my book - Cry of the Dragons by
BrunuhVille -
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dFFUFQhLXXUIt has the feeling of age, wisdom, mystery, and a particular fondness that is very good for describing Pharrgon.
Keegan, the hero in my book and Pharrgon's "adopted son" - Prophecy by
Adrien Von Ziegler -
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=INaM813ohL8 or Tales of Ice and Blood by BrunuhVille
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x2tHsj6BLuAThe feeling of memories, regrets, revenge, and the essence of a great destiny in both of the songs are just about right for Keegan.
Erewhon (
air-a-wh-on), the princess in my book - Farewell to Gwen on the Merlin soundtrack by
Rohan Stevenson -
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Z-Tvrfnn44The softness, the beauty, the unspoken heart, and yet the slight sense of strength... perfect for Erewhon.
Walneff, the age old prophet in the story - Night Elf Glade by
Brandon Fiechter -
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X26sBc7 ... USo3jos3ywThe mysterious sound, the easy going tempo, and yet the hint of slight mischief all describe Walneff well.... though I am not completely satisfied. I must search for a better song to describe him...
