Hey everyone,
Just a quick announcement about the Theology room.

We’ve been seeing a lot of topics that are bordering on the edge of debate. I know that this room is naturally more susceptible to debate, because of its nature, but our goal is always to exchange and explain our ideas. The tone of our posts has a good deal to do with how our beliefs are perceived by the other people in the discussion; a gentle and carefully worded post will go a lot farther than a harsh, biting one.
The Theology room has also started becoming a very general room; a place to talk about anything theological. While this isn’t bad, this also isn’t the main point of the room. The rooms in the Scholar’s hall are intended mainly to handle issues specifically within fantasy writing (since this is, after all, a fantasy forum). Many of the threads in the Theology room don’t match this definition, and we’re going to be working to move these.
“So where do I post things that aren’t directly fantasy-connected?” Good question. For theology threads about writing in general, it is best to use the Village Lore room. This room has a more general scope and can absorb these threads better than theology. If you wish to discuss theology in general, not connected to writing at all, then it is best to use the General Discussion room. That way those threads are not confused with the threads about writing.
So we will be working to move threads around according to these new guidelines, so if you are missing a thread, check in General Discussion or Village Lore. If you feel a thread has been mis-placed, please PM either me or Reiyen, the moderator in charge of Theology. Thanks for bearing with us; as Holy Worlds grows we are adjusting the way things are to make things easier for everyone.
