Weekly Challenge #197: Write or edit something that you have been putting off.

Directions:
1. Post on the challenge thread, declaring the goals you have committed to. This must be done before midnight on Monday.
2. When you have finished your goals, post on the challenge thread again, stating what goals you have completed, how many times you have completed them, and whether any of them were combined.
3. At midnight on Saturday you are not allowed to report any more finished goals, and the challenge is over.

Rules:
1. You can repeat the weekly challenges, and get more points, but if you repeat your own personal goal, you will not get extra points.
2. The organizer has the right to veto any personal goal that seems too easy (i.e. writing a sentence).

Weekly challenge accepted. I'm going to work on the Red Rain short story that's been half-finished for over a year. In fact, I'm going to go edit the first scene and post it on my blog right now!

I did some editing on my Red Rain short story and posted the first chunk on my blog. I'll be doing more with it this week still--not sure how far I'll get, but I'll post here at the end of the week with what progress I did make.

Aubrey, I kind of did that goal for myself, too, since I needed to get mine done.

And, I'm thinking I should have done a slightly harder weekly challenge since all three of us have finished it already.

I edited all of what I had previously written on the short story yesterday, and am now writing new material. True to form, I have the first scene and the last two scenes completely written and am just filling out the middle. It's at 3,500 words already. I actually didn't think it would be that long of a short story, but that's great!
