Hey everyone!

So, as you may or may not know, we have a character fractalling system. *points to top of the Character Development page* And as you may or may not know, many of us have decided to take on this system and go through it together, step-by-step.

The character fractalling system is a HUGE character development exercise. It will help you produce an extremely deep and detailed character. No one, as far as I know, has completed the system fully. And we're going to try to do that! And, if we don't make it all the way through (depending on how far you want to develop your character), at least you'll know your character much better and can write him/her further.

We have two teams:
Team 1: the slower team. We can adjust our speed, but it will be relatively slow for those of you who are busy, who haven't done this before, or who just like a slower pace.

Team 2: The fast team. They go pretty fast, but can also adjust their speed a bit.

The leader of team 1 is me, Captain Nemo or Cpt. Nemo T. Mimetes, and the leader of team 2 is Suiathon, Ira Mordecai Mimetes, Mark, or whatever else you call him. :P

So, if you decide you'd like to join us (which you are welcome to do at any time! Just note that you might be steps behind some of the others, but that is fine because this is designed for us to go at our own pacing) just PM the leader of the team you wish to join, and we can direct you further. :D

If you have any other questions, please feel free to comment here. :D

I got through the whole system once, but by the time I finished, the earlier parts were already out of date.

This is a good idea.

*Nods* That is likely to (and possibly should!) happen. After one has finished their fractal, one should probably go through their fractal a second time through and update everything (though the second time through wouldn't take nearly as long).

Update!!!!

Right now both the fast team and the slow team are in the same document to keep things organized and in one place. We have deadlines for each step (sooner for the fast team, later for the slow team) and are going to be updating them regularly. The fast team goes through about one step per 3-4 days, while the slow team will do their steps in about a week-a week and a half. Lycan and I are currently co-leading the entire group.

If anyone would like to join, please feel free to post here or PM me or Lycan. The teams are in later stages, but you could be on a different step and update what step you are according to the team you join, or jump in at the place that the teams are at, since we will be cycling through again, or even try to catch up. You could wait to join, too... but why wait? :D

I hope to hear from some of you soon! :D

Another update on the Step-by-step Character Fractalling. Due to Nemo's busyness, I am taking over the role of updater and poker. Beware of the poker  ! *evil laugh*

Okay, now that that is taken care of, down to business. The slow team has completed the final step and will therefore be starting at step one again. The fast team will be finished by Friday.

So, this is the perfect time to start! Do we have any takers? This is really not as hard as it looks. I started late and have been keeping up with the slow team (almost) with my busy schedule and I have been doing it for three of my characters. So it is very possible for you to do.

Please PM me if you have any questions. Thank you!

Since we have so many people writing novels for NaNoWriMo, I have decided that the next round of Character Fractalling will start in December. If you are interested or want to know more about it, please pm me and I will answer your questions as best I can. If you already know you want to join in on either the slow team, or the fast team, please pm me and I will add you to the list. Thank you!
