Finally I'm posting about my races. I have five, and here's the first and my favorite.
(I'm writing this description as I go along, so please bear with me)

When Eshyklah created Eivylazia, He created two creatures, a female and a male. They had a son, and their son was killed by Exuglori, the Great Deceiver. Because of their disobedience to Eshyklah by allowing Exuglori (now Evillon) to take their son, Eshyklah was forced to split their three children into three races: Elves, Men, and Seers (kind of like wizards). Elves were Eshyklah's favorites, the apples of his eye. They were loyal to a fault.

A little about the Elves:
Eshyklah gave their race the gift of Ignesia (connection with Him) through their Glory's Fire pendant. Their weaknesses are an unwillingness to make alliances, they're deeply mysterious, slow to make decisions, and love their elfchildren to a fault. Their strengths are numbers, widsom, and Ignesia. At the Elvendawn time, first period in history, they are the chief race in power and strength. Their lifetime is up to 1,000 years, approximately. They are not immortal. If, when they die, their elfsoul is attune with Eshyklah in Ingnesia, they go to Aurahome (Heaven). If it's not, they go to the Nameless Place. Their royalty are Fatherelf and Motherelf.

In the elven race, there are several clans. Membership to these clans is given when they go to Kalisi, the naming. At Kalisi, the Elvenseer gives them each a Glory's Fire pendant, a name, and a clan. The clans don't live together but must work harmoniously together to stay strong. Each clan has a power and purpose different from other clans. The clans are:

- Starelves – select elves given much Ingnesia for a specific purpose, all have sea blue eyes(chosen by Eshyklah)
- Lytelves – elves of the forest, Ingnesia in creation of ANYTHING (swords, gold workers, anything)
- Queenelves – female elves given wisdom, Ingnesia in wisdom
- Shadywelves – male prophet elves, Ingnesia in prophecy and foresight
- Brytelves – warrior elves, Ingnesia in fighting
- Creatyrelves – elves that work with animals, mainly horses.
- Ashelves – fallen elves who betrayed Eshyklah for Evillon, from other elven clans.
- Nywelves – Ashelves renewed through Fyrstar's sacrifice.

What do you think? Are they too perfect?

Wow! These are so cool! I must say, I really like the clan names.
Too perfect? I don't know. In the overall description, they don't seem too perfect. You stated that they have weaknesses (reluctance to ally themselves, deeply mysterious [is that a fault?], slow to make decisions, and "love their elfchildren to a fault"), so they don't seem perfect. Are only the Ashelves fallen? (I think that's one of my favorite clan names, by the way). I must say, I also really like your creation of Ignesia and the Glory's Fire pendants (a good definition for what most people vaguely title "magic").

Thanks, Elestar!

Only Ashelves are fallen, and they are from all of the other clans. For example, my co-star Nytstar (a starelf) betrayed Eshyklah and threw away his Glory's Fire to become an Ashelf. Then he was a Nywelf after the renewal.

I don't know whether you noticed or not, but fire is the main theme of my storis. Eshyklah means Consuming Fire. My main character is Fyrstar. The magic pendants are "Glory's Fire". Elves' connection to Eshyklah is through Ignesia, Latin for fire. I also include a lot more but to tell you that would be to give away the plot!

Well...I don't think I could say they were too perfect without reading something with them in it. Elves tend to be too perfect. That's just who they are. (:D) So if they ARE I would not necessarily say it's a problem.

Nessa- She's given up the veil, the vows she'd sworn, abandoned every effort to conform. Without a word to anyone she's gone her way alone, a dove escaping back into the storm.

Nolan- And though I don't understand why this happened, I know that I will when I look back someday, and see how you've brought beauty from ashes, and made me as gold purified through the flames.

Azriel- And who do you think you are, running round leaving scars, collecting your jar of hearts, and tearing love apart? You're gonna catch a cold from the ice inside your soul, so don't come back to me. Don't come back at all...

Right. I tried to come up with some definable faults for them to make them a little more believably realistic. For elves. :)

They coexist because it's kind of like the body of Christ; they need each other to live. So while they are spread out through the country, they don't seperate by clan but by preference. I may change why they spread out, but the clans are integrated together.

Thanks!

In the Naming their clan is chosen, so it's actually more of a Calling from Eshyklah.
