This is the prologue of my story without a title. The series I've thought about calling The Chosen, but I'm still thinking about that. The stories are basically just about the lives of a bunch of kids that have one of the nine spiritual gifts each, and the journey's they are going to be undertaking as they try to restore the glory of the kingdom that the evil of the land is trying to destroy. Hopefully the prologue with help...
Their story begins long before they came into existence; a story that includes a troubling, and painful history, but also one of redemption and mercy. They did not know of how they would affect the lives of the world in which they lived, nor did they realize the plan that had been set for them. It started with two people. These two people were called to multiply and prosper while giving their undying love to their Creator. Unfortunately, there was one who was against this Creator called Elyon. His one and only desire was to overthrow Elyon, and take His throne, becoming the god of the people. Lucifer was a deceiver, and approached the original two with a great deception, cheating them of a life of perfect peace. After learning that they had been deceived, and that they were no longer as they were meant to be, they hid in shame from Elyon, hoping to prolong the confrontation between them and their King. Elyon knew of the sin, though, and soon found them in their hiding place. He cast them out of the perfect place He had made for them originally, but never left them. The Two did as was originally designed; creating a population to sustain the world. Twelve sons were born to them after a time, and twelve daughters. These twelve sons carried on, and out of them came twelve great tribes. All of them lived on the great island of Yardeniya, but as they grew in size and number, the land became too full, and each of the tribes drew straws to see which one tribe would stay, and the others would leave to search for other lands. The tribe of Naphtali, the tribe of priests, was the one to stay, and the others left. Other lands were found, and the others took them for their own. They became many things. Some became fishers, warriors, and farmers, while others became priests, wine growers, and hunters. Many became minors, supplying all with metals like gold, and bronze; it all depended on what resources were available, and what the land was best for. Time passed, and some of the others who went away began to forget about the King, and created for themselves one man to sit over them, building him fortresses, and citadels for him to live in. They became wise in their own eyes, and neglected their teachings, growing up a nation who did not know the name of Elyon. Word reached the tribe of Naphtali, and men of Elyon went out to save their brothers, bringing many of them back to the One who had brought them into being. Some did not accept this teaching, though, and killed the men who were sent, shedding their innocent blood on their land, and spitting on the name of Elyon, wanting nothing to do with Him. The other lands, and the Tribes of them, drifted away from the mainland, Yardeniya, leaving it isolated and to its own devices. Yardeniya grew as a nation under Elyon. The children were raised under the teachings of their fathers and mothers, learning at a young age of the glory and love of Elyon. The men were the leaders, guiding the people in worship, and teaching them in small gatherings, while the women brought up the children, and supported their husbands in all they did and said. Some of the surrounding nations became jealous of the peace that Yardeniya had, and reasoned in their minds to destroy it, thinking of the best ways to do it. They were a nation of priests, after all, they knew nothing of warfare, and would not be able to protect themselves. War-parties were sent out, heading to the land of Naphtali, hoping to destroy them while they were sleeping. Arriving at the shores of the land, though, they were met with great confusion, and by thousands of men. Elyon had presented the plans of the others to the leaders of each town in dreams, warning them. He gave them the strength to overcome, and made them prosper in battle, making the other nations tremble, and flee, and all the more determined to destroy them. Not all of the nations agreed with the others plans, and tried to stay out of it, or to help them. The two sister islands of Yardeniya, Eben (the little island), and Chetzronn helped them build docks, ports, and battlements to help protect them, and taught them how to defend them-selves. Becoming priest/fighters enlarged their pride, and they too began to struggle in their faith, but maintained it, though it had become more feeble. More raids were made, and never were they successful. Yardeniya fought… and began fearing man more that Elyon. Thus was the start of their slow, but steady descent.
Well, that's it. I think that its pretty good, but I haven't really had the chance to really edit or add to it yet...
Please tell me what you think I should add or what ever.
