Here's a possible map of my world Mythica that I made using Campaign Cartographer. I'm not sure if this is what my world will look like when it's all said and done or not. The coast, rivers, and mountain ranges are the same as a map that I uploaded earlierImage

This is the original mapImage

Wow Seer! What program did you use? That looks good.

Be careful of your thoughts; guard your mind, for your thoughts become words. Be guarded when you speak, for your words turn into action. Watch what you do, for your actions will become habits. Be wary of your habits, for they become your character. Pray over your character; strive to mold it to the image of Christ, because your character will shape your destiny.

Ideas can germinate from the smallest seeds. Collect those seeds, and let them grow in the back of your mind. You may be surprised by what finally blooms.

When God takes something from your grasp, he's not punishing you. Instead, He’s opening your hands to receive something better. The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you.

Works in progress:

The Diegosian Mark, 115,600 words (Preparing for Publication)
The Diegosian Rider, 121,400 words (Finished)
The Diegosian Warrior, 15,000 (In Progress)

The original map (one on the bottom) was made with a graphics-tablet using a program called ArtRage, you can download simpler versions for free (or at least you used to be able to) but you can the same with gimp.
The second map was made using Campaign Cartographer 3, a software originally made for RPG gamers that works for fantasy writers as well. There are no free versions of this one and it's pretty pricey (like $45 or more...can't remember). When I was younger (like 4 years younger) I was not the wisest of people in how I spent my money.
Glad you like it.
In Christ,
Jordan

WOAH!!! That's incredible! How does that program work? It looks much more professional. Are there more maps to this world?

Tricky question, see this is just one attempt at capturing the essence of Mythica's geography. The first attempt was way back when I was twelve and it has changed greatly since that (the first maps were on a sheet of paper and all along the edge was a giant desert...that's gone now). As I continue to hash out Mythica, the map will probably continue to change. One thing is that this doesn't show any continents or the group of islands that are somewhere off to the east that play a role in my understanding of Mythica. So...lots of work to be done. One idea is to zoom out, but no attempt at giving Mythica continents has turned out satisfactorily, so....

CC3 is a vector-based program, meaning it's based on geometric entities rather than mapping bits. The basic way it works is you draw the outline and it feels in the texture. So I drew the outline of the land and it filled it in with the green texture. Likewise for the water. The other main feature is that of pre-made symbols which you can paste into the map. The nice part about these features is that you can scale them before you paste them in, making them as big or small as you like. There's a lot more to the program than that, it's a very versatile software with lots of potential for personal customization and creativity, but this overview gives you an idea of how I did it.
