Alright. So this is the revised plot.

Tadix, a potter’s son, is reluctant to become a potter like his father. After a heated argument with his father, he runs out of the house, and tries to escape all responsibility. Finally, he ends up at the lake shore, and walks out on the pier. His thoughts prevent him from noticing that he’s almost on the edge of the dock, and without realizing it, he steps off.
Hofwu, an Aeloo from the sea, brings a message to the leader of Ilakiool. However, he loses his way in a cavern, and ends up washed to the lake where Tadix is. He wakes up in the water, and notices someone thrashing in the lake. Thinking that he might as well help, Hofwu saves Tadix from drowning. However, the kind act quickly backfires when Tadix realizes what Hofwu is; an Aeloo bringing a message of war.
When Hofwu explains his mission, since he thinks that Tadix won’t be any danger, he discovers that Tadix had strong opinions about war. Tadix immediately takes Hofwu hostage, to prevent that war, although he has no problems with the slaves being freed, Tadix doesn’t want his brother to join the military. And so hofwu ends up in Tadix’s treehouse, tied up and unable to protest Tadix’s actions.
While pondering his actions, and wondering if he had done right, someone stumbles in. Koon, a runaway slave, manages to escape (as he later tells Tadix in a story) from a blacksmith. After telling Tadix his adventure, Koon asks why Tadix has someone tied up. The reason is explained, and Koon protests Tadix’s decision. However, Tadix doesn’t listen, and tells Koon that although he can stay in the tree house, he must remain hidden from slave catchers.
Koon argues with Tadix until he changes his mind, but decides to wait a while so he can think. Thus, Tadix travels home, and discovers that his brother Etavke has joined the military. Tadix, angry about that, wants to stop the ambassador from delivering the message. He keeps Hofwu from escaping, while Koon prepares to leave the country for freedom.
Tadix must make decision, and he thinks about freeing Hofwu for the third time. But news reaches him that the Aeloo military has declared war on Ilakiool because they took Hofwu prisoner. To keep Etavke, Koon, and Hofwu safe, Tadix has too many decisions to make. He asks his father if they could ride over the border for a day, and he agrees(They’re very close to the border).
They travel across the border, and while his father sells pots, Tadix lets Koon find friends or family that could give him shelter (This country is compromised of Sheniolaens; Koon’s race). Then, in the afternoon, they leave. Amazingly enough, Tadix’s father makes more money than in his own country.
Once home, Tadix tries to get his brother to leave the military. However Etavke won’t change his mind, and his life is still in danger. Etavke runs off in a very bad mood to train, and Tadix is left hopelessly confused, angry, and sad.
However, soldiers become angry, and vow to hunt down the ambassador and kill whoever took him hostage. Etavke, overhearing the plot, runs home and warns Tadix. The soldiers, who thought Etavke was too nice, realize that he is telling someone about their plans, and they run to attack him. Etavke escapes, and reaches home in time.
They dash out, knowing that their parents won’t come back for several hours. But the soldiers wait until their parents come home, and destroy the entire house. Tadix and Etavke’s parents are dead probably, and they are hiding inside a castle.
The soldiers, still desperate to find the ambassador, even though Hofwu has returned to his people, search the forest, finally stumbling on castle ruins. The place where Tadix and Etavke are hiding.
A fight begins, and Tadix and Etavke are losing. But Koon shows up, since he found out that he had no family still alive. They win the battle, but Etavke dies during the fight. The castle begins to fall apart, but everyon manages to escape again.
They wonder what they should do, as war has broken out between the two countries. Koon suggests that Tadix and him travel to a different country, and live with the Sheniolaens. They dig through the remains of the house, gathering supplies for a fire. During the night, they talk about things.

I'll post in here what I've developed...when it's been developed.
