A while back, PrincessoftheKing pm-ed me asking for an essence map based on her username. I agreed but a few weeks later wrote back telling her I couldn't get enough of an essence to work with. But a few minutes after that I started thinking about the meaning behind her username and it connected with an essence/idea/whatever that's been in my heart for a while now: the desire to see Christian women realize just how beautiful and treasured they are to God, and how they don't need anyone else to give them worth because God has already given them so much. I tapped into that and came up with a short essence map for her. I'll admit that the essence in my heart is much larger than this, but I decided to keep it short for now. Maybe someday I'll sit down and map it out all the way, but it would be a pretty tragic map and I didn't want to depress her :). Anyways here it is:
Princess{
  Heart{
    Beauty[
      <double rose of Sharon>
      <lighthouse beacon>
      <twilit field of fireflies>
      A Pearl[
        Luster(
          <sunlight on a creek’s ripples>
          <polished marble>
          <porch light on a dark night>)
        Hue(
          <milk>
          <pink carnation>
          <yellow ribbon>)]]
    Worth(
      <firstborn child>
      <a first kiss>
      <a mother’s wedding ring passed on to her daughter, kept in a chest wrapped in protective cloth>)}
King{
  Father{
    Love[
      <Ezekiel 16:6-14>
      <2 Samuel 12:3>
      Tenderness(
        <a sunset>
        <fleece blanket>)
      Warmth(
        <Mexican blanket>
        <toast fresh from the Toaster>
        <fireplace>)
      Protection[
        <Mother bear>
          Fury(
            <Hurricane Katrina>
            <the sun>
            <Mount Kilauea>
            <Roaring Lion>)]]}}

That's one of the best essences I've ever read, Seer. Seriously. Very deep and I love how you used essence to communicate this. Great work!

I know I've already told you how awesome this is, but I just wanted to thank you again! I love the metaphors you used... they convey your idea so perfectly. :D

Love your work Seer! I’m still trying to test the waters of essence mapping. I get the concept, but the structure is what has me hung up. I like the word imagery you’ve given.

Be careful of your thoughts; guard your mind, for your thoughts become words. Be guarded when you speak, for your words turn into action. Watch what you do, for your actions will become habits. Be wary of your habits, for they become your character. Pray over your character; strive to mold it to the image of Christ, because your character will shape your destiny.

Ideas can germinate from the smallest seeds. Collect those seeds, and let them grow in the back of your mind. You may be surprised by what finally blooms.

When God takes something from your grasp, he's not punishing you. Instead, He’s opening your hands to receive something better. The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you.
