Dwarves

Dwarves live all over Menbie. They are looked down upon by humans in eastern countries like Tushola, but generally in the west are seen as brothers. Like dwarves in other stories, they are short, generally grow beards, and are exceptionally strong. Normally in places where they don't live with other dwarves they are blacksmiths or other jobs that require strength. In places where cities have formed they are generally inclined to be miners, mining fine metals and crafting them into the finest swords and weapons around. Dwarves are stronger than humans, both physically as well as being stronger minded. They are better at controlling their emotions and keeping their nerve.

Elves

These are simply un-fallen humans. They have long been extinct. I have borrowed the term elf, as the humans before the fall were very similar to elves in other books like Lord of the rings, for example. They are, however, in my book sinless, until the fall when they become humans, except for one of them who was cursed. (I do not have a name for un-fallen dwarves, other than un-fallen dwarves. :) Dwarves and humans lived together in intimacy, and as a result of the fall the dwarves lost some of that.)

Merashath

This is a specific person, who was once an elf. He was the cause of the fall, sinning by blatantly defying the creator. He was cursed to live forever on earth until the end of time, and live without hands or even feet good for gripping. He is however, very powerful so that the savior who comes may receive more glory. Merashath is mostly black, with bat-like wings with no hands, and talons for feet. He is all evil, and lives flying from city to city striking fear in the hearts of citizens. There are legends in both the east and west of a dark shadow that comes and kills people left alone in the open. He does generally stay away from dwarves.

Merashath's People

Merashath's people are men and a very few dwarves who do his work, gathering information reporting to him so that he can orchestrate his plan to overthrow the world. Not much is known about them, as they try to avoid revealing information about themselves. They have successfully infiltrated all governments except for that of Enst. They are all rallying up for a thing wanting to destroy the earth. What they don't realize is that he also plans to destroy them. They are digging their own grave.

I'm not completely decided about Merashath's people. How does it sound to ya'll?

And since I don't want to make a whole new topic for one creature: (I'm sure I've posted this before, but I think I've changed it.)

Sapramuh

These are large cats, very similar to jaguars. They have human-like eyes, and are generally considered to make great pets to country-folk as they are nice around friendly humans as they can sense if the human is happy or mad very easily. It is said of them that they can do anything but speak, and can somewhat communicate with their masters by facial expressions, noises, and body motion. Sapramuh are kept as pets by most, and by a select few as guides and companions. Wild Sapramuh are still able to communicate with humans, but not as well and generally don't trust any humans as a general rule.

Much better than the last one. I guess there could not be a half-elf then. What if a dwarf and a human married? I have heard many books where elves and men married, but not dwarves and men, I wonder what the offspring would look like? Do the men and dwarves change if they join Merashath?

Wow Griffin, I'd never really thought about that...maybe a human with dwarf-like qualities? I think when people join Merashath they remain the same even live in the same place, but try to observe more about the government. I think they do it because Merashath comes to ask them about it, not to kill them. So it's kind of a security for those ones, but like I've said, if Merashath could have his way, he'd destroy the earth.

So are Merashath's people all over, not just in some stronghold or something?
