Airamiel is a separate universe from Earth.
There is no going-between alternate realities.
So yeah, that's pretty straightforward. Right now, as you can probably tell from the map, I don't know the entire global geography. But I do know that it is a planet that could pass for earth in pretty much every respect, except for the simple fact that it's not earth. *shrug* However that works. Basically it's this world but not.
I think one main geographical feature, that has nothing to do with my first series, is that the globe is roughly girdled by mountains. Of course there are other mountain ranges, and random mountains as well, but when the earth was divided, there were two main "families" of chunks (tectonic plates) that 'gathered' roughly on opposite poles during the chaos of the remaking of the world after the fall.
When Silna-minetheld (the sun) rose, the plates moved back together violently, both "families" meeting in such a way as to form a girdle of mountains around Airamiel. However, the huge mountain ranges formed from this violent reuniting are not perfectly around the equator, but rather at a pretty sharp angle, like a very loose belt that fell off one hip of the world, to use an interesting metaphor I've never thought of before.

And it's not visible mountains the whole way. Some of them are underwater, and some plates came together smoothly without mountains forming.
There is only one sun (Silna-minetheld) and one moon (Muin-eltareth). Pretty unimaginative for fantasy, I guess, but that may change in the future.
But anyway, lest I get into more parts of Airamiel's history that I didn't even know existed before I wrote this post, to avoid creating unintentional inconsistencies, I'll refrain from furthering my worldbuilding splurge.

Areth,

PS - Airamiel means
land of the father/begetter/creator. Basically, the Father's World. This reflects a knowledge of the creator in the language of those who live in Airamiel. However, this name for the world is that which the chosen kingdom uses, so not all people groups call this world Airamiel. That's just what I'm going with.
