For a bit of fun, I thought we could share some interesting or fun facts about the two days we are celebrating Holy Worlds' birthday this year. I was trying to find a famous author born on one of these days, but couldn't find and didn't know of any. Do you guys know of any authors born on the 25th or 26th of October? Interesting facts for today: On the 25th of October 1962 American author John Steinbeck was awarded the Nobel Prize award in Literature. Today in the US in 1954 a Cabinet Meeting was televised for the very first time. 25/10/1854 over 400 soldiers died in the Charge of the Light Brigade during the Crimean War. Geoffrey Chaucer, English poet who wrote the Canterbury Tales, died on the 25th of October 1400. Picasso was born on the 25th of October 1881. |

Neat facts! I found two more. - Postcard use in America originated on this day in 1870. - On this day in 1906, inventor Lee de Forest patented a device that later helped in the development of radio and television. |
