Undoubtedly we've all created a great deal of characters while being here. I have, anyways. But what about the old classics we had before we settled down here and started from scratch?

You know, the old ones that have gotten dusty and half-forgotten in manuscripts gathering cyber-dust. Ones we might be half-embarrassed about, but still love.

Who was the character you were so proud to show off once you arrived?

Oh, I have a few; most of whom were created for roleplays on different sites.

The two I was so happy to show off the most at first were Viggo and Darian Steele. (And of course the Irish shapeshifters, Rowan and Aelfcynn.) Viggo and Darian were brothers, treasure-hunters, mercenaries, warriors-for-hire.

They weren't fantasy characters, per se, but they had a few fantasy adventures I'd thrown them into, and besides that I was ever so eager to show them to people.

Then there was Flash Shadowstrike, who has been a favourite fellow of mine for... oh, I don't even know. Probably since about 2009. He originated in a long-forgotten roleplay with someone called Revenge Of The Oldest, and then received his own storyline having to do with seven realms...

I just loved his quirkiness, his mood swings, his sarcasm, his jokes and his bragging, the way he acted like a hyper child and talked up a blue streak. He's another I was excited to show off here.

Besides them, I had my traditional fantasy characters whom I loved - Keallan Morogh, Terran Jencir, and Ingvar son of Siothan. It's been so long since I thought about them, I couldn't remember Ingvar's father's name... that's crazy.

Now I'm reminiscing about other old characters that I never showed off, but I created before joining here...

Good memories. :)

Oh... I had Aanrasti. He was my.. favorite child, I guess you could say. * laughs a bit * I thought he was so amazing. He wasn't really that much, though. He was mostly melodramatic... I do still love him, though. * grin *

Who was one of my best original characters? Probably Selainia, and Escalm

Selainia was the main character of the first story I ever wrote (that later grew into a novel and then into a trilogy and is currently under extreme remodeling). She was my first character ever that had any depth at all. Escalm was her second in command, but later ended up usurping her place as the main character (they have minds of their own) and she became a secondary character.

originally, I liked Selainia because she stood out in a world that was all men, and she did well and stood up for herself. Escalm was loyal, honest, and brave to a fault.

As I mentioned, the series is under extreme construction, and Selainia will just be a background character. Escalm has grown to a major part, but the background character the first time I wrote the trilogy has become the main thread for the series.

It's funny to think about characters, how they've changed and why. How they relate to what is happening to the writer as life passes by, and how they will always be growing and changing whenever someone reads their tale.
