Story time!! I'll start the story and then you have to help me finish it. There aren't any fast and hard rules. Just quote what I've written and continue on until you either run out of ideas, or think you've gone far enough. Have fun!

Once upon a time, in a galaxy far, far away, it was a dark and stormy night.

Charissa sighed. Too cliche. How was she supposed to do this NaNoWriMo thing if she couldn't even get her first sentence written? Tapping her fingers on the keyboard, light enough not to type anything, she tried to think of a way to start her story. She had her idea for the storyline, just not how to start it.

She moved her hand to her mouse and did a couple of clicks on the screen. Yep, there was her story idea.

Title: Once Upon a Galaxy Night
Idea: A spoof off of Star Wars with some Star Trek, Doctor Who, Once Upon a Time, and maybe some Downton Abbey mixed in. A 20 year old young woman gets thrown out of her comfort zone and world into a world gone crazy. This world has Borg, Cybermen, evil creatures whose names she doesn't know, not to mention Jabba the Hutt. Can she survive? Who can she trust in this crazy world? Is Han Solo, the mysterious Doctor dude, Rapunzel, or Princess Leia more trustworthy? Or are they all trustworthy? What's a girl to do?

Charissa grinned. She had it! Poising her fingers over the keyboard, she started to type.

There once was a girl. Boring, I know, but really, she was a girl and there wasn't anything she could do about it. And her life really was that boring for awhile. But then one day it happened. She'd been warned that it was possible, but never had she expected it to happen to her.

The day her world changed started out normally, and boringly.

Charissa was finishing her breakfast, which consisted of toast and a cup of tea. It was her usual, morning routine: get up, have a cup of tea and a couple of slices of toast with marmalade. Then she'd go on her morning run which usually lasted about twenty minutes, make her way home and take a shower.

She put on her running shoes and headed out the door. It was a quiet, Monday morning. All the children were at school, and most people were out at work; usually the sounds of birds singing, whisperings of the leaves and the occasional dog barking were all that Charissa heard. Today, however, was different. It didn't sound different, it felt different. She had the distinct feeling that on this particular morning, someone - or something - was following her.

As her feet touched the ground every 1.5 seconds (she'd always timed it) she tried to look behind her to see who it might be, but would either lose count or stride. When she reached a red light, Charissa jogged in place, trying to stay loose. She jogged in a circle so she could look behind her. Nothing. Seriously? Was she just imagining the feeling she'd gotten?

Sighing as the light turned green, she turned and continued running. Halfway across the street, she had the feeling of being hit, but it was more like being hit by a big wind. I stopped because I thought I'd been hit. As I looked around, I grew more and more confused. Light swirled around me, but I could see nothing clearly. Is this what it felt like to be hit by a car? But if I had been hit by a car, why wasn't I falling to the ground?

Just as suddenly, the lights stopped swirling and the strange feelings stopped. I opened the eyes I hadn't realized had been closed and took a cautious look around. The world had changed completely and totally.
