Alright, so I've begun toying with another idea again. Not at all helpful since I'm already three weeks behind in this semester's project and there are only five weeks left until finals.

But anyway, it involves the hero infiltrating a flying circus that is serving as cover for an espionage ring. However, I have been unable to find much information about barnstorms and flying circuses. Have you found any information on them? Or able to point me somewhere other than Wikipedia?

I have never heard of anything like this, and now I'm really curious.

Yeah, they were a lot of ex-military pilots from WW1 who wanted to keep flying even after the war ended, so they started doing stunt shows and airplane rides to try to make a living. It was a cool era. If you ever saw the movie Second-Hand Lions, the uncles are trying to be barnstormers at the end. So lots of opportunity for interwar stories with plenty of directions you can take stories. Some of them did some smuggling on the side as well, especially in the 20s, so there's room for integrating Mafia and bootleggers.
