You step outside the hall to find dragons racing around a large circular track, cheered on by thousands of people in the stands. A large poster attracts your eye, and you try to block out the cheering so you can concentrate on it. DRAGON RACES Objective: to post the most good quality posts in response to threads in the Scholar's Hall (excluding Realms Beyond) Details: The most important thing to do is post! Make a post in this room, and every time you make a reply in Scholar's hall, edit your post to paste in the link. Keep a running count at the top. Try to make more replies than all the other participants! Make sure all your posts are good quality. Your reply should not just be "I really like this _____." Try to say a specific reason why you like the ______ as well as asking a question and/or contribute significantly to the discussion. End time: September 21, midnight PDT "Hello! Hello?" the registrar shouts at you. "Interested in signing up?" She hold a pen out to you. Your dragon runs toward the registrar, looking expectantly back at you. |

An awkward girl with loose brown hair edges up to the poster and looks at it for a long time, reading the instructions over and over. A small white dragon flies up and lands on her shoulder after awhile and starts biting her hair and pulling it. "Wuurrr!" it squears impatiently. The girl bites her lips and smiles a bit at the registrar. "I'll sign up...thankyou." She takes the pen and signs the register, humming 'Chim Chim Cheree' and smiling at everything while the dragon bounces on her shoulder. "Wurr-wuurrrrr!" Come on, everyone! Juliet's already getting ahead. We don't want her to win by default, do we? |

The small young lady with the wild ginger hair shyly enters the room, a faltering smile on her lips as she tries to hide her fear. "I'm not used to posting in the Scholar's Hall," she explained quietly, smiling a little more. "I've always been afraid to... but I'll try." She steps up and takes a quill pen. Her hand fumbles for a minute, and she accidentally drops the pen, sending it skidding across the table. The girl sighs quietly, muttering, "Sorry, I'm a bit clumsy..." She carefully picks up the quill pen and place the tip against the paper. Then she signs the register in a rather tremulous-looking scrawl before tentatively stepping back. *is sorry she's slow* *points to crazy life and exhaustion as an excuse* A little dwarf stands at the end of the racetrack as the dragons finish their last lap. She waves a checkerd flag downwards as Mistress Rwebu Kidh passes by her, dropping it in the process. She waves the heavy flag again as Lady Elanor passes the finish line, barely bringing it up again in time to get it in Lady Annwyl Skyheart and Lady Eruwaedhiel's faces as they finish the race. Trumpets blare and the crowds shout as the contestants are presented with little dragon figurines, one gold, one silver, and two bronze. |
