Quoting someone:
Some of you already know this, but for you that don't here you go!

I have seen many times on the forum, that people hit the quote button and don't edit anything out, others that quote a long post, and edit out the stuff they don't want.
But there is a much easier way, I learned it on my first day(And taught Aliza Rose Mimetes the secret!)
is that, if you use your cursor, highlight what you want then hit quote, it will only quote what you highlighted! Example, I want to quote Lady Elanor Mimetes, Her post:
I think I've seen both I love Lucy, and The Lucy Show. Are they not one and the same? I'm afraid I don't think I've seen any of the others.

I highlight what I want to quote:
I think I've seen both I love Lucy, and The Lucy Show. Are they not one and the same? I'm afraid I don't think I've seen any of the others.

Then I hit the quote button, and there you go, that is how you can quote someone with quickness and easiness.

(Edit: You have to be replying already to do it.)

It is very useful. :D

BTW, it doesn't quote smilies, so you have to re-add those.

Wow! Thanks, Danko! This is amazing. I had no idea you could do that.

Yes, this is useful. The one problem is that there seem to be some formatting things (I'm fairly sure colors and text sizes, and my memory isn't sure about URLS) aren't quoted, while others (italics and such) are. I suspect it's a case of which codes are easy to convert back from HTML to BBCode :), but I have only anecdotal evidence.
