Boringist title ever, I know. <grin> Bear with me.

We'd all love for Jay to get to share the birthday celebrations. Yeah? Yeah! Okay. I'm more than happy to send him the contents of most of these threads, but collecting post data into a printable form is time consuming, and there's quite a bit here.

So I'm asking for volunteers to help out! Pick a thread, and then copy and paste the name of the poster and the content of their post to a printable document. You can email/PM me or just upload it here. Please post if you're working on something so we don't have duplicates.

Threads we're especially interested in having are:
Make your Mark
What Does Holy Worlds Fantasy Mean to you?

I'll do the Make Your Mark thread, since I started it :)

All right, I've done the Make Your Mark thread (so long as nobody replies to it again). What file format do you prefer? (That basically boils down to: what word processor do you use? Unless you'd prefer a PDF.) And what size of paper will you be printing on? (8.5 x 11, I assume, since you're in the US, but it's good to confirm ...)

If nobody's done so already, I think someone should send him a report of (at least the highlights of) the Peter's Angel release party on the HF side.

Yes, 8.5x11 is good. .doc, .txt, and .rtf are all acceptable formats. .pdf works as well, as do Google docs. Pretty much anything that likes to be printed. :D

My preferred format (for anything with information that's lost in plain-text ... and I tried to preserve formatting, so this qualifies) is OpenDocument (.odt) :)

I attach Microsoft Office and PDF versions, just in case one export or the other went awry.

Oh, I forgot .odt. I can open it, I just don't use it myself.

Nine pages! I think I'll be sending Jay birthday stuff until the end of November!

Jaynin, I can send some if you like, when I send my letters. :)

(Just printing the forum threads themselves---even in "print view"---would probably be half again as long ...) Twiddling with the fonts and margins might drop it down to eight. And printing double-sided would bring it down to half that many sheets of paper ...

But yes, the Make Your Mark thread was that long.

Oh, I believe it. I've had to condense forum threads before. I'm just thinking of length times number of threads times number of birthday parties divided by how many pages can fit in one envelope. :D

People are still commenting on the thread I'll be gathering up the posts from, so I'll leave it until things settle down. :D (If you are reading this and haven't posted on What Does Holy Worlds Fantasy Mean to You? yet, please do. ;))
