Thanks.

I'd like to see a short story that shows from the man's perspective a typical day.
Heh. Yeah. Most days would be pretty unintelligible and boring and very...well, boring, to anybody who didn't live there, but if you picked the right day it could be pretty comedic.

How often do people go in there?
About as much as small time shop, and varies the same amount. There are definite fluxes, usually corresponding to important things that are happening in Dun del.

What does he keep records of? Are there things he doesn't keep records of?
Everything. * laughs * Everyone contributes to what he knows and what he keeps track of. The plurality of the actual tablets are records of the rules of the Hall, though. Actually, I'll bet he's probably the only one who actually has a record of
all of them. Not even the official people (though who you'd call that is a question) keep as extensive records.
He doesn't keep records of the details of everyday politics and such, he keeps that in his head until it's not needed anymore.

Why a clay hut and not a fantastic office or something?
If I make a thread about Dun del anytime, I would go into more detail, but basically they aren't very pretentious there at all. The Hall itself is a long, low building that's always dim and never locks properly. The office of the leader of the colony militia, you might say, is a hole in the wall, and he does most of his own foot work, except when he orders off his second in command to do it.

And anyway, why
would he have a fantastic office? A clay hut works. * grins *
