I got this list from Lycanis, who got it from another HWer, who modified it from someone else.

I was intrigued and thought it would be fun when Lycanis used it for Lecan, one of his characters.
This is already a long list of questions to write out all in one post, but I have three characters going through it. I began with only the first one, but then I thought that it would make more sense to do the other two as well. Lots of things would make more sense. Soo...here is a monstrous post. 32 pages in OO. * wry *
```````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````
I'm going to let Rwebhu do this...she is acquainted with him. Or I should say, he is acquainted with her, because I am very well acquainted with him as well – but that's not the point. Anyway....
1. What is your real birth name? What name do you use?
I am Aanrasti. When I came to Nöbëde the people could not pronounce it correctly with ease, so they pronounce it a little different than I was named. I was also given a name when the people began to hear of me and my brothers – the Eedo. They gave us all names. But I do not go by it unless I am called it. I go by what people call me.
2. Do you have a nickname? What is it, and where did you get it?
* slight smile * None of my names resemble Nick. Though Samaan once called me Nŷubek. You do not know what that means, Rwebhu? * slightly curved lips *
Rwebhu: If you tell me, I will never speak with you again, annoyance. * scowl * You know too much to be safe for a decent woman. * sticks tongue out at Aanrasti *
Me: * nudges Rwebhu to explain what nickname means so he will answer the real question *
Rwebhu: You know what nickname means, Aanrasti? It is something that someone calls you that is not your real name.
Aanrasti: Thank you for telling me. But my reply is no less fitting. * merry smile *
Rwebhu: I mean that it is a name that is not your real name, usually something that your friends call you, I think.
Aanrasti: Yes.
Rwebhu: Aanrasti, you know what I mean.
Aanrasti: Yes. I knew that as well.
Rwebhu: * very slowly * Do you have a nickname? What is it, and where did you get it?
Aanrasti: All my friends like my real name.
Rwebhu: * tosses hair and decides to continue *
3. How old are you?
Aanrasti: * thinks * I believe I am 30. I am not sure.
Rwebhu: You are an ukivu. * biting glance *
Aanrasti: Yes. I remember
that. * wide smile * That is a very useful thing to know. If I forgot, then –
Me: Ask the next question. This will take hours otherwise. I have a feeling I should have done it myself....
Aanrasti: You think you would do better, lass? * gleam *
Me: Skip it. Ask the next question. I should never have chosen you for my subject. * hurriedly *
Rwebhu (is helpful for once): 4. What’s your real birth date?
Aanrasti: I do not remember.
Rwebhu: * mock scornful *
Aanrasti: I was very little then, you cannot complain. * innocent defensive *
Rwebhu (heroically does not answer): 5. What do you look like? (Include height, weight, hair, eyes, skin, apparent age, and distinguishing features)
Aanrasti: I am small, very small for a man. I am quite as slight as I am small. My hair is brown and curls. My eyes are brown. My skin is a clear, subfusc brown. Not dark.
No one can decide how old I am. They call me boy, but then they say that I am too old. I am hard.
I have no distinguishing features that I have ever distinguished. * merry smile *
6. How do you dress most of the time?
Aanrasti: Cambric undershirt, dun-gray shirt and breeches and sash. I also wear leather pélee, that come to my knees, armgaurds and singlet.
7. How do you “dress up?”
Aanrasti: I wash it.
Rwebhu: And the rest of the time he is uncivilized and muddy. * slightly mock scornful *
8. Do you wear any jewelry?
Aanrasti: No. Only my knife.
9. In your opinion, what is your best feature?
Aanrasti: I hate bad people.
10. What city do you live in? In what country?
Aanrasti: I wander. * slight smile * That is what ukivu means. But I have stayed in the Nöbëde plains for many years.
11. Where do you live? Describe it: Is it messy, neat, avant-garde, sparse, etc.?
Aanrasti: It is beautiful. * closes lips *
12. Do you travel much? Where? How often? In what weather? With who?
Aanrasti: I wander, lass. You know that. I wander with my brothers. I wander in the rain and the dark and the swamp, the sunlight the day and the field.
Rwebhu: I know it, but I do not choose what to ask. It is all written down.
Aanrasti: Yes.
13. What is your most prized possession? Why do you value it so much?
Aanrasti: I do not possess many objects. That is what you mean. I possess Thrën, and Kýkhúd... * quietly *
But the only object I possess is my knife. I do not prize it. It is useful. If it was not, I would not possess it.
Rwebhu: * shakes head slightly * You are definitely an ukivu. If you knew where that knife came from....
Aanrasti: I do.
Rwebhu: * looks at him * How did you...?
Me: * slight movement *
Rwebhu: 14. What one word best describes you?
Aanrasti: * laughs * If you wish a description of me, you should not ask me. Ask someone who knows me.
15. What is your style of fighting?
Aanrasti: I do what I intend to do, regardless of how I do it. The way to win a fight is to fight according to him, not yourself. Unless your intent is to kill yourself.
1. What was your family like?
Aanrasti: My father tried to execute me, and my mother saved my life. I have not seen either of them since. And my siblings were disowned at birth.
Now...my father still wants to kill me, if he is as determined as one would think from knowing his son. And perhaps my mother does as well. And perhaps there is another son in my place.
Perhaps they are all dead.
I do not know what my family is like.
2. Who was your father, and what was he like?
Aanrasti: He was the Taalaqa.
Rwebhu: The chief, or god, of an Ýte clan.
What was he like?
Aanrasti: He was strong in mind, and craved power.
3. Who was your mother, and what was she like?
Aanrasti: She was strong in mind as well. But she could not live against my father. Her god. She loved, though, more than he ever could have.
4. What was your parent's marriage like? Were they married? Did they remain married?
Aanrasti: She worshiped him. She only once went against his will, and that was in secret, and done without much thought. If my father ever found out, then he killed her. If he did not, then they are still married. My father needs a wife – he is the Taalaqa. And especially since he disowned me. He needs a son.
5. What were your siblings names? What were they like?
Aanrasti: My siblings were disowned at birth and given to other families in the clan, if there were any. I was not told. There was no use in telling me.
6. What’s the worst thing one of your siblings ever did to you?
Aanrasti: Not lived. * strange look in eyes *
7. What’s the worst thing you’ve done to one of your siblings?
Aanrasti: Died.
Rwebhu: No one will understand those answers....
Aanrasti: I know. * silent for a moment * What is the next question?
Rwebhu: * a little gentler *
8. When’s the last time you saw any member of your family? Where are they now?
Aanrasti: I was eight when I left them, I believe. And I do not know. Somewhere in Dýe-over-the-mountains, believing me dead.
9. Did you ever meet any other family members? Who were they? What did you think of them?
Aanrasti: I lived in a clan. All of my family, they were there.
10. Are any of your family members dead? Who? How? When? How did it affect you?
Aanrasti: I do not know. If my mother is dead, then... * stops after a moment *
I do not know if they are dead. But someday, I will kill my father.
1. What is your first memory?
Aanrasti: It is all a haze, I do not know what is first. I was young.
2. Any non-family member adults stick out in your mind? Who were they, and how did you know them? Why do they stick out?
Aanrasti: I did not play with the men and women, I played with the little boys, and my mother and father were my teachers. There is no one I remember. Except for...the stranger. But I did not know him. I only remember him.
Rwebhu: Why do you remember him?
Aanrasti: Because he was the one that told me who my father was. And he is the reason I had to leave.
3. Who was your best friend when you were growing up?
Aanrasti: When? * laughs * I do not remember my friends I had before I was cast out. Between then and when I was a new young man, somewhere near to the age of sixteen, I had no friends. And from that age til now, I have had my brothers.
<Note from me> Rwebhu had a difficult time translating that, I am sorry. It is a bit tangled and phrased oddly.
4. What is your fondest, childhood memory?
Aanrasti: Racing with the boys in the sunshine.
5. What is your worst childhood memory?
Aanrasti: My mother giving me the knife. And telling me to leave. And – not kissing me.
1. Do you have a job? What is it? If no job, where does your money come from?
Aanrasti: I have no job. My work is my work because Kýkhúd took it in his hands, and I go where he goes. My work is fighting slavers and creeds.
I cannot tell you where it comes from. That is a mystery that is beyond me.
Rwebhu: He has no money, just so you know. * tight lipped glance at Aanrasti *
2. Do you enjoy your job? Why/why not?
Aanrasti: I enjoy my work.
Rwebhu: * smiles sarcastically * You are extremely gracious. I thank you.
Me: Because he is answering the question that she ought to have asked considering that he has no job. Just so you all understand what she means.
Rwebhu: You did very well explaining my meaning. * mock deference * I am surprised at your skill considering that you do not do it very often.
Me: Just – ask the next question. This is taking way too long. * disappears again out of dialogue slightly cross *
3. What is your boss or employer like?
Aanrasti: I do what Kýkhúd tells me, so he is my employer. But I do not know who he is in half-a-minute.
Rwebhu: Meaning, you don't have time to describe him.
4. What are your co-workers like? Do you get along with them? Any in particular? Which ones don’t you get along with?
Aanrasti: Thrën works with me, and he is like a little boy. We always are fighting, and I always win. You can decide if that is what your people would call 'getting along', Rwebhu.
I do not 'get along' with any of my other co-workers.
Rwebhu: He does not have any other co-workers, just so you know.
5. What is something you had to learn that you hated?
Aanrasti: * is silent for a long while, a smile playing over his face * * at last the smile is gone, and he looks at Rwebhu * How to die.
Rwebhu: 1. What hobbies do you have?
A 'hobby' is something which you do which you do not have to do, and which interests you, I believe. Just so you know.
Aanrasti: I have no hobbies.
Rwebhu: Expound. Why, wherefore, and how?
Aanrasti: * obediently * Because I am an ukivu. Because everything I do, I must do; and everything I do interests me. By surviving.
2. Who is your closest friend? Describe them and how you relate to them.
Aanrasti: Thrën, and Kýkhúd. * does not say anything more *
Rwebhu: * tight lips *
3. Who is your worst enemy? Describe them and why you don’t get along.
Aanrasti: Rhe. He hates me because he humiliated himself, he is determined, and he is weak. We get along quite well. He hates me, and I survive.
4. What type of places do you hang out in with your friends?
Aanrasti: The forest and the streets and slaver camps.
5. What annoys you more than anything else?
Aanrasti: Thrën.
Rwebhu: * shakes head a little *
6. What would be the perfect gift for you?
Aanrasti: I do not know....
Rwebhu: This time at least you are excused for not knowing. But think about it. * waits *
Aanrasti: Happiness. For my friends. Because I couldn't say a wife for Kýkhúd. That would be a gift to him.
Rwebhu: You are smart. * snippy *
7. What’s the most beautiful thing you’ve ever seen?
Aanrasti: * slight, queer smile * Kýkhúd's smile.
8. What time of day is your favorite?
Aanrasti: * laughs *
Rwebhu: * waits *
* sighs *
9. What kind of weather is your favorite?
Aanrasti: * shakes with laughter *
Rwebhu: * doesn't even wait * 10. What is your favorite season?
* tosses hair *
11. What is your favorite food? What is your least favorite food?
12. What is your favorite drink? (Coffee, Water, Beer, Wine, etc.)
13. What’s your favorite animal? Why?
Now I have asked them all and we can go on.
Me: That's the letter of the law, not the spirit. It's no good asking them if you don't wait for an answer.
Rwebhu: For that matter, it's no good asking them at all.
Me: He at least should –
Rwebhu: This is going to take forever. * slight grin * Be quiet, I need to ask the next question.
14. Do you have any pets? Do you want any pets? What kind?
Aanrasti: I would like a horse. But I am never going to have a pet. A beast under me will be under me. Not a plaything.
15. What do you find most relaxing? (Not as in stress relief, but as something that actually calms you down.)
Aanrasti: Sleeping.
16. What is your favorite recreational activity? (riding, dancing, etc.)
Aanrasti: Surviving. Jumping off of trees... * slight smile * Fighting people....
17. What habit that others have annoys you most?
Aanrasti: Thrën is in the habit of disliking himself. That is extremely annoying to me.
18. What kind of things embarrass you? Why?
Aanrasti: * is silent for a long time * I can't think of anything.
Rwebhu: If you had been laughed at while you were talking at the judge bar about the ukivu, wouldn't you have felt slightly uncomfortable? (* aside * Pardon, you don't know what I am talking about, but I don't have time to explain. I just hope it will get an answer out of him.)
Aanrasti: But they didn't. People do not laugh at me unless I wish them to.
Rwebhu: * sighs * Yes, that is rather a problem. I give up.
19. What don’t you like about yourself?
Aanrasti, you don't have to answer this one. * quickly *
Aanrasti: * amused * Are you afraid of something?
Rwebhu: * tight lips * In the interests of saving time...
Aanrasti: I do not like what being an ukivu has done to me. * slight smile * That is all. You may go on.
20. How would you like to look?
Aanrasti: I would.... * pause * Like to look normal.
Rwebhu: Is this the first time you have ever admitted it? * slightly, seriously curious *
Aanrasti: * slight pause * Yes.
Rwebhu: Could you explain why?
Aanrasti: Over time, and with the right circumstances...
Rwebhu: Will you?
Me: Rwebhu, I don't like that mention of over time. I'll explain. Aanrasti is introverted, despite all evidences contrariwise, and he does not like being noticeable.
1. Do you currently have a lover? What is their name, and what is your relationship like? What are they like? Why are you attracted to them?
Aanrasti: * silent for a little while * I warn you, you will not like this answer.... Yes. I do not know. We are waiting. I do not know. I am not attracted, I have a lingering hope that she will never come.
Rwebhu: Heavens above, Aanrasti – you are not talking about your dream?
Aanrasti: Good guessing, lass.
Rwebhu: That does not count! You were dreaming, boy, she hasn't even come!
Aanrasti: She will.
Rwebhu: I said 'currently'.
Aanrasti: Yes.
Rwebhu: Not even you could say you love her right now.
Aanrasti: * silent *
Rwebhu: You did not even see her in your dream – you could not even plead love at first sight....
Aanrasti: That is foolishness. The only thing that could come the moment you see someone is desire. Not love.
Rwebhu: I will not discuss it. But I will say that you do not currently have a lover.
Aanrasti: What is time? I dreamed of the future. It will happen. As far as concerns us it could as well have already happened.
Rwebhu: * tightens lips *
2. Do you ever want to get married and have children? When do you see this happening?
Aanrasti: I do not to want to get married and have children.
Rwebhu: Why?
Aanrasti: I am an ukivu.
Rwebhu: * shakes head * You said that the thing that most annoyed you.... * sees something in Aanrasti's face that I cannot see, and stops * Aanrasti – * after a moment * – I am sorry. That was not the right thing to say.
<note from me>Not...exactly sure what she said that was not good. It didn't survive the translation. But it had something to do with the situation that he is in right now and Thrën and so on, I think....
Aanrasti: * quietly * I know.
Rwebhu: * shoulders rise and fall with a silent sigh *
3. What was your most recent relationship like? Who was it with?
Aanrasti: Like a mother. The Mother.
Rwebhu: You're – still in that relationship, Aanrasti....
Aanrasti: Yes. I am sorry, that is the wrong answer. But there is no other. Go on.
4. What’s the worst thing you’ve done to someone you loved?
Aanrasti: I... * thinks * I – tried to kill myself.
Rwebhu: To save their lives.
Aanrasti: His.
Rwebhu: Oooh...you're – talking about that.
Aanrasti: Yes.
Rwebhu: Still...it wasn't – bad.
Aanrasti: I know.
Rwebhu: * sigh *
5. Is there something between you and the person you love? What/who is it? How can you overcome it/them?
* winces a little *
Aanrasti: * slight pause * Yes. Distance. And I will overcome it by finding what I am here to find. * voice still and cool *
* long pause *
Rwebhu: I know...that you will not remember any of this when you go back to your own life, but – you will find it. And you will see them again. Not soon. But – soon. * glances at him with a slight frown and pained gray eyes *
Aanrasti: * smiles a little * You are kind, Rwebhu.
1. What one act in your past are you most ashamed of? What one act in your past are you most proud of?
Aanrasti: I am ashamed of being angry with people because they would not give me any food. When I was a beggar in Dýe-over-the-mountains.
I am...glad that I saved Kýkhúd. * smiles * What would you expect to be the one thing I am most proud of?
Rwebhu: That's what I expected. * smiles *
2. Have you ever been in an argument before? Over what, with who, and who won?
Aanrasti: I have been in too many arguments to count with Thrën. Over everything. I won. * laughs *
Rwebhu: The first argument was over whether or not you should kill yourself, and he won that one. * mischievous *
Aanrasti: That was only because I was almost dead already, and he had my knife!
3. Have you ever been in a physical fight before? Over what, with who, and who won?
Aanrasti: Many, many times, especially if you count wrestling with Thrën into the number. * smile * But real fights, even those have been many. With slavers and priests, over – slaves. And I won all the times, except one. That was one of the times I nearly died.
Rwebhu: And those have been plentiful, believe me....
4. What do you feel most strongly about?
Aanrasti: Kýkhúd and Thrën.
5. What do you pretend to feel strongly about, just to impress people?
Aanrasti: * laughs *
Rwebhu: * sticks tongue out at him *
6. What trait do you find most admirable, and how often do you find it?
Aanrasti: Trust. It is rare.
7. What is your religious view of things? What religion, if any, do you call your own?
Aanrasti: I believe in God. He is the Truth, the Life, the Power, and the Love. I am not altogether in anyone's religion, because no one's religion is altogether mine.
I agree with much of what the Kapyree people teach, however.
8. Do you think the future is hopeful? Why?
Aanrasti: It is hopeful, because God never will die. He is Life. And he is Hope.
It is hopeful because I will be alive. And if I am not, I will be dead.
9. Is an ounce of prevention really worth a pound of cure? Which is more valuable? Why do you feel this way?
Aanrasti: Yes. * laughs * Unless it already happened, in which case prevention would be quite useless. And if something going wrong and the cure is a valuable event. Then no.
10. What’s the worst thing that can be done to another person? Why?
Aanrasti: * quiet * It happened to Kýkhúd.
Rwebhu: Yes.... Why is it worst?
Aanrasti: Noone can destroy a man's life but himself. They can do what they like to him, but only his own choice can ruin him. No matter how he is hurt, he is not ruined.
But the closest a man can come to ruining another man's life is to force a man to be evil. They cannot force him...but they can come very, very close.
11. What’s the worst thing you could actually do to someone you hated?
Aanrasti: If I ever hated someone, they would... * pauses * I am... * pauses again *
I once hated someone for almost the half of an hour. He is cursed by me for the rest of his life. For years and years I did not even see him, but he is cursed. I...am not glad. He went bad because of it. That is the worst curse. But I do not hate him any longer, so I am not glad. I wish him happiness now.
If I ever really hated someone, he would not like it. That is all I can really say.
12. Are you a better leader or follower? Why do you think that?
Aanrasti: Follower. I think that because it is true. I could not lead.
Rwebhu: You would be very good at it...
Aanrasti: I know. But it makes no difference.
Rwebhu: * sigh * I know.
13. What is your responsibility to the world, if any? Why do you think that?
Aanrasti: I have no responsibility to the world. I have only a responsibility to those whom God has given me.
14. Is it okay for you to cry? When was the last time you cried?
Aanrasti: * slowly * If I knew what oh-key meant perhaps I could answer.
Rwebhu: It means fine. Good.
Aanrasti: I do not cry. So I do not know.
When I was a child and I was hungry.
15. What do you think is wrong with MOST people, overall?
Aanrasti: They do not care.
1. What is the thing that has frightened you most? Do you think there is anything out there that’s scarier than that? What do you think that would be?
Aanrasti: Thrën almost dying. Yes. All of my friends almost dying.
2. Has anyone or anything you’ve ever cared about died? How did you feel about it? What happened?
Aanrasti: * silent for a little while * Yes. * quiet *
Rwebhu: * frowns slightly with a troubled look * Who... You are thinking of Autumn?
Aanrasti: Yes.
Rwebhu: She did not die....
Aanrasti: She is gone. She is dead to me. If I ever see her again, she will care nothing for me, and despise me. The little girl we used to play with in the woods is dead.
Rwebhu: How – did you feel about it?
Aanrasti: It hurt. * still faced *
Rwebhu: What happened?
Aanrasti: A noble's lady wanted her for her own child, and the old woman gave her to her.
3. What was the worst injury you’ve ever received? How did it happen?
Aanrasti: I was fighting a soldier and made a mistake, and he slashed across my neck, low down. I almost died, later, from loss of blood.
4. How ticklish are you? Where are you ticklish?
Aanrasti: My mother used to tickle me on my feet. But I am not ticklish anymore. It is a useless sensation.
5. What is your current long term goal?
Aanrasti: I have none. Kýkhúd gives me my work, and at present I have only a goal for the present. It is to find Samàn.
6. What is your current short term goal?
Aanrasti: Shall I say it again?
Rwebhu: * without replying * 7. Do you have any bad habits? If so, what are they, and do you plan to get rid of them?
Aanrasti: I would not call it bad, but most people hate it when I do it... * gleam *
Rwebhu: Yes, I know, and don't you dare. Especially not right now. It would ruin the questionnaire. Just tell us what it is.
Aanrasti: I haunt people.
8. If you were a normal person, what would you do with your life? What occupation would you want, and how would you spend all your time?
Aanrasti: I do not wish to make decisions unless I must, particularly decisions of this kind. What is the next question?
9. What time period do you wish you had lived in? Why? (Looking at this as an attempt to change history doesn’t count.) What appeals to you about this era?
Aanrasti: I wish to be where I am.
Rwebhu: 10. How private of a person are you? Why?
* laughs *
Aanrasti: People from Nenn to Narnnrûana know about me. I spend most of my time alone with my brothers. That is all I will say.
11. If you were to gain an obscenely large sum of money what would you do with it?
Aanrasti: Give it to the Mother. And then she would likely give it away part by part to others. I do not have a use for money.
12. What would you wish for if you found a genie?
Aanrasti: Samàn.
13. What do you do when you are bored?
Aanrasti: I am never bored.
14. What is the most frightening potential handicap or disfigurement you can conceive? What makes it so frightening?
Aanrasti: Forgetting. * lips close *
Rwebhu: That happened to him. It – was not amusing. He forgot everything that had happened since he was a little boy. His friends, his life....
15. What’s your favorite weapon?
Aanrasti: Myself.
Rwebhu: That is all the questions. Now we can both be left in peace for a little while at least.
Me: All three of us you mean... * wearily *
Why did I ask you to do it, Rwebhu?
Rwebhu: * points up * * cocks head with a 'you said it first' look *
Me: * sighs *
````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````
This one is two years later, so the situation is not the same.
``````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````
I'm going to let Rwebhu do it this time as well, I think. * wonders if she is insane * I might be here all day recording it, but I don't think so, really, because Kýkhúd is better behaved than Aanrasti, as a general rule. I could do it myself, simply to keep Rwebhu out of trouble, but Kýkhúd especially needs someone who he can trust to talk to him. So anyway...
Rwebhu: I liked to do Aanrasti better than I will like this – at least he says something. * crossly *
Me: Rwebhu!
Rwebhu: * sigh * I – did not mean that, Kýkhúd. *
Kýkhúd: * looks at her for a moment * You did.
Rwebhu: Well, yes...but I didn't mean to say it.
Kýkhúd: * silent *
Rwebhu: Yeah, I know, that sounds familiar... * guilty look * * sighs * Well, I don't mean it now, anyway, though. I don't mind talking to you. * sits down on the floor * Same questions as last time?
Me: Yep.
Rwebhu: Right.
1. What is your real birth name? What name do you use?
Kýkhúd: I do not know what name my mother gave me when I was born. I am called Kýkhúd.
Rwebhu: 2. Do you have a nickname? What is it, and where did you get it?
A nickname is a name that people you are acquainted with call you, that is not your real name. Though sometimes it is a version of your real name.
Kýkhúd: Nnââ is a name that the people call me. In Nöbëde all have two names – the one that is their own, and one that is the people's, which they give him. It is used when he is in authority, or esteem, or notoriety, rather than his personal name.
Rwebhu: That was a good explanation...I will remember that next time Nikki asks me about it. * glances at me *
Me: * glares *
3. How old are you?
Kýkhúd: Thirty six.
4. What’s your real birth date?
Kýkhúd: I do not know.
Rwebhu: * sigh * Do you know anything that would have to do with that?
Kýkhúd: I know the date of my conception.
Rwebhu: What is that?
Kýkhúd: The third day of summer, by Vedgaden standards. It was almost exactly thirty six years ago.
Rwebhu: * looks relieved * I was afraid I was going to have to work out the dating systems for Her...that was a very good answer.
Me: I was afraid of that too. * wry * I don't have time right now for that.
5. What do you look like? (Include height, weight, hair, eyes, skin, apparent age, and distinguishing features)
Kýkhúd: I am very tall and large, very muscled, and very solid. My hair is tan, straight, my eyes are gray, my skin is pale and tan, and my age is not apparent to anyone who sees me except perhaps to Yesaré. I have not asked them. And I have no distinguishing features.
Rwebhu: Almost none of that is apparent, actually. I never found out what he looked like til I saw his sons. * queer look *
6. How do you dress most of the time?
Kýkhúd: Yes.
Rwebhu: * patiently * What is it like?
Kýkhúd: * pauses a little * * slowly pulls the pendant of a narrow chain that hangs around his neck out from his shirt * <it is made of a dark metal, almost black, dull rather than shiny, and is perfectly round, the size of a coin> * moves it in his fingers, and three tiny diamonds in a triangle in the center glitter like the points if needles *
Rwebhu: * nods slightly *
Kýkhúd: * slips it back into his shirt *
9. In your opinion, what is your best feature?
Kýkhúd: * long pause * I am not sure that I understand.
Me: * glances down seriously * * looks up * Kýkhúd...I'll trust you not answer any questions I shouldn't know about. Will you do that for me?
Kýkhúd: * slight pause * Nëindë.
Rwebhu: * smiles *
8. What time of day is your favorite?
Kýkhúd: No. No.
15. What do you find most relaxing? (Not as in stress relief, but as something that actually calms you down.)
Kýkhúd: * long silence * I do not understand – quite.
Rwebhu: With a girl. * cynical twist to her lips *
Kýkhúd: I love mother. Is that what you wish to know?
Rwebhu: Good enough. You don't have an answer to the question, so it doesn't really matter if you understand it.
4. What’s the worst thing you’ve done to someone you loved?
Kýkhúd: Sent them away. To die. * quiet *
Rwebhu: * sigh *
5. Is there something between you and the person you love? What/who is it? How can you overcome it/them?
Kýkhúd: No.
Me: * closes lips * But – that – * stops *
Rwebhu: * looks at me * * begins to shake head * Nikki...no. Stop trying to imagine. You know better.
Me: * silent sigh * I'm trying... * slight frown * Go on.
Kýkhúd: I have nothing I could be proud of.
Rwebhu: You do. * shakes head * What about making friends with Thrën? Or forgiving Treecé? They were hard. And good.
Kýkhúd: What could I have done?
Rwebhu: Not made friends with Thrën. * tilts head with a 'you should know the obvious' look * Not forgiven Treecé.
Kýkhúd: But it would have driven me mad not to have forgiven him. And I could have done nothing else than help Thrën.
Rwebhu: Yes. You could have. You could have – * tilts head * – treated him like the sobbing annoyance he was. Been practical and made him face what he was afraid of. Been –
Kýkhúd: Rwebhu. * very, very quiet * He was not a fool. He needed me. Facing his fear would have killed him.
Rwebhu: But you could have not cared! You didn't even like him!
Kýkhúd: I loved him. When that happened.
Rwebhu: But you
didn't have to love him...
Kýkhúd: I am to be proud of loving Thrën? You consider it so hard to love him that you must be proud of it?
Rwebhu: No.... But it was hard for you. He was the second person you loved in your lifetime. It was hard.
Kýkhúd: One must do hard things sometimes.
Rwebhu: So –
Me: * raises eyebrows * Rwebhu? I can't be chronicling this conversation all day. Next question?
2. Have you ever been in an argument before? Over what, with who, and who won?
Kýkhúd: Yes, with Aanrasti once. He wanted me to forgive. I did not. He convinced me.
Kýkhúd: Many times. I fight slavers often. I win.
Kýkhúd: The choice to love. Not often.
7. What is your religious view of things? What religion, if any, do you call your own?
Kýkhúd: I call no religion my own. I believe in God. And I believe he has the power to punish, and to forgive.
8. Do you think the future is hopeful? Why?
Kýkhúd: God would not make men and then give them a hopeless future.
9. Is an ounce of prevention really worth a pound of cure? Which is more valuable? Why do you feel this way?
Kýkhúd: If you can prevent something, it is good. If you cannot prevent it, then you must cure it. That is also good.
10. What’s the worst thing that can be done to another person? Why?
Kýkhúd: I do not wish to tell you.
11. What’s the worst thing you could actually do to someone you hated?
Kýkhúd: * silence for a moment *
Rwebhu: * shakes head *
12. Are you a better leader or follower? Why do you think that?
Kýkhúd: I am a better leader. I have been both a leader and a follower, and I am better leading.
13. What is your responsibility to the world, if any? Why do you think that?
Kýkhúd: I have a responsibility to God, not the world.
14. Is it okay for you to cry? When was the last time you cried?
Kýkhúd: I have never cried. I do not know how.
15. What do you think is wrong with MOST people, overall?
Kýkhúd: They do not know how to do what God wants, and they do not wish to do it.
1. What is the thing that has frightened you most? Do you think there is anything out there that’s scarier than that? What do you think that would be?
Kýkhúd: Being changed. I do not know.
2. Has anyone or anything you’ve ever cared about died? How did you feel about it? What happened?
Kýkhúd: * a long silence * There was a girl. When I was a boy. I do not know her name. She never told me. I worshipped her. They killed her.
Rwebhu: What...did you feel like?
Kýkhúd: Angry.
Rwebhu: Did it hurt?
Kýkhúd: No. * quiet *
Rwebhu: * pause * I thought you loved her.
Kýkhúd: I did not love her.
Rwebhu: * slight frown * I always thought you did.
Kýkhúd: I loved nothing until I loved Aanrasti.
Rwebhu: But you cared about her?
Kýkhúd: Yes. I worshipped her.
Rwebhu: Then they killed her.
Kýkhúd: Yes. I knew they would.
Rwebhu: But you were angry.
Kýkhúd: I was angry. They killed her. I was more angry than I had ever been before.
Rwebhu: * slight nod * So –
Me: Next question?
Rwebhu: * sigh *
3. What was the worst injury you’ve ever received? How did it happen?
Kýkhúd: * silent for a long while * My arm. * for a moment does nothing, then slowly pulls up the sleeve of his shirt * <there is a scar, black, the shape of a cross and reaching the length of his forearm> They branded me. I almost died. It is a mark. And a test.
4. How ticklish are you? Where are you ticklish?
Kýkhúd: I am not ticklish.
5. What is your current long term goal?
Kýkhúd: I have none, other than to serve the king of the Ríintwar.
6. What is your current short term goal?
Kýkhúd: To reach Narnnrûana without Nwerin getting hurt.
7. Do you have any bad habits? If so, what are they, and do you plan to get rid of them?
Kýkhúd: I do not know.
8. If you were a normal person, what would you do with your life? What occupation would you want, and how would you spend all your time?
Kýkhúd: I would work in the earth. I would sing.
9. What time period do you wish you had lived in? Why? (Looking at this as an attempt to change history doesn’t count.) What appeals to you about this era?
Kýkhúd: I wish to be here. God put me here.
10. How private of a person are you? Why?
Kýkhúd: Few people know anything more about me than that I am a man to be feared. But many have heard of me and my brothers, and what we do. Many more in the war. I did not choose how it was. But so it is.
11. If you were to gain an obscenely large sum of money what would you do with it?
Kýkhúd: Give it to the Mother.
12. What would you wish for if you found a genie?
13. What do you do when you are bored?
Kýkhúd: I am never bored.
14. What is the most frightening potential handicap or disfigurement you can conceive? What makes it so frightening?
Kýkhúd: * pause for a moment, thinking * My blackness. * quietly *
Rwebhu: What...makes it so frightening?
Kýkhúd: I do what I hate, and I hurt people. I would rather die.
15. What’s your favorite weapon?
Kýkhúd: Myself.
Rwebhu: And that is all. Thankyou for your cooperation. * glances at me * Both of you.
Me: Thankyou for
your cooperation, Miss. Evidently Kýkhúd can keep you in rein better than I.
Rwebhu: * grins at Kýkhúd * I
like him.
Kýkhúd: * looks at us *
Me: * laughs *
````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````
This one is the year between the other two, so the situation is yet again different.
I also took a bit out of the middle of it when Thrën goes insane and we are trying to un-insane him and me and Rwebhu get into an argument and a metaphysical discussion. This post is already extremely long. But it is an important part of his character, so I will explain it in a short note (we
aren't asking him to explain it better – even thinking about it too much will make him go mad, as was the case here). He is afraid of falling any kind of distance (meaning anything that's not tripping), rather like a phobia, but much more intense. To the point of insanity. And it's not a thing where if it actually does happen he doesn't mind, it just is even worse.
```````````````````````````````````````````````````````````
And now Thrën.
Rwebhu: You jest.
Me: * shakes head *
Rwebhu: * shakes head harder *
Me: Come here Thrën.
Rwebhu: * sits down crossly * I wouldn't mind these if you weren't here peering over my shoulder constantly.
Me: I have to watch you to make sure you stay on the subject. I don't have time to record it otherwise.
Rwebhu: * shakes head * Alright Thrën.
Thrën: * sits down with his back to a tree and begins to watch the clouds *
1. What is your real birth name? What name do you use?
Thrën: My name is Thrën, and that is the name I use. * smiles * Do your people use some other name normally?
Rwebhu: * ignores * 2. Do you have a nickname? What is it, and where did you get it?
* explains what a nickname is *
Thrën: No, I don't. I like my name.
3. How old are you?
Thrën: 31.
4. What’s your real birth date?
Thrën: * cocks head * I don't understand you here. Are you assuming the one I told you last moment was false? * amused, mischievous smile *
Rwebhu: I am assuming nothing. * flatly * I am reading a list of questions to you from a piece of paper. Just answer them.
Thrën: So I must give you a false birth date, then a real one?
Rwebhu: * lips tight * When were you born?
Thrën: 31 years ago.
Rwebhu: Good enough....
5. What do you look like? (Include height, weight, hair, eyes, skin, apparent age, and distinguishing features)
Thrën: I am tall, broadshouldered, strong, my hair is flaxen, my eyes are blue, my face is tanned, I look like I am 31, and I am not distinguished.
Rwebhu: What in the name of heavens is the point of asking someone to describe himself? It's beginning to drive me insane, Nikki.
Thrën, just tell me what Aanrasti looks like, will you? * gives a slight glare my direction with a 'don't you say 'we don't have time'' look *
Thrën: You jest! I couldn't tell you what he was like in a thousand thousand words.
Rwebhu: You could at least give it a shot. All we know right now is that he has brown eyes. * sarcastic *
Thrën: * lifts face laughing * All....
Rwebhu: Speak, annoyance!
Thrën: That is all you know! Only that he –
Rwebhu: That is not what I meant. * glares *
Thrën: * tilts head to one side * He is like a cat. Have you ever seen a cat?
Rwebhu: Actually, here cats are quite common. * dryly * Only smaller.
Thrën: Well, he is smaller too. He is very small for a man. But he is all muscle, when it comes to it. He walks silently by habit, and he seems to move like a – a cloud whip.
Rwebhu: (Tornado.)
Thrën: His eyes are brown, and his hair as well, and his face is a clear brown, not very dark, light enough that you can see when there is less blood in his face.
It is as if you could see into him sometimes, to look at his face. And he laughs often.
Rwebhu: What about Kýkhúd?
Thrën: * is silent for a moment * He is not easily seen. He is Yesaré –
Rwebhu: You don't know that. * warning look *
Thrën: Ha! Do you think that someone who is not Yesaré could be the man he is?
Rwebhu: This is not time to discuss it. But even if he is, it would convey nothing to the readers of this because they do not know what a Yesaré is. Just describe him.
Thrën: Well...noone knows exactly what he looks like. I do, because he let me see once. But when anyone sees him, they do not see the way he looks. His face – eyes – hair. They know that he is very, very tall and broad, but that is all.
Rwebhu: Very good. Thankyou. Now we shall continue.
Thrën: Yes, we shall, shall we not?
Rwebhu: * slight head shake *
6. How do you dress most of the time?
Thrën: I wear shirt and breeches, and a hauberk. The Mother gave it to me. * shakes head slightly * I have never forgiven her for that....
Rwebhu: She did not buy it. It was a gift, you know.
Thrën: Yes, it was, so it was not so bad. But still.... Have you an idea how valuable a hauberk is?
Rwebhu: Yes – I asked the smith. * nods * For the people around there, it would be priceless.
Thrën: Precisely. * makes a face *
7. How do you “dress up?”
Thrën: What would I “dress up” for? * grins *
Rwebhu: Getting married perhaps?
Thrën: Well, I already did that, and it was on rather short notice and we were in a rock desert and in the middle of the end of a battle...so I did not exactly “dress up”. * grins again *
8. Do you wear any jewelry?
Thrën: Jewelery is mainly useless, I would have no reason to wear it.
Rwebhu: Kýkhúd does...
Thrën: That – is not useless.
Rwebhu: 'Tisn't?
Thrën: You know it isn't.
Rwebhu: How?
Thrën: It is for his protection. He needs it. That is why Mother gave it him.
9. In your opinion, what is your best feature?
Thrën: My – feature? Could that be better translated?
Rwebhu: I understand it as little as you. We'll skip it.
10. What city do you live in? In what country?
Thrën: I am in Nöbëde, the land of the Ríintwar. We wander about, and I dislike cities. We mainly go about in the villages and badlands near Cclë.
11. Where do you live? Describe it: Is it messy, neat, avant-garde, sparse, etc.?
Thrën: Where I live? My house? I do not have a house.
13. What is your most prized possession? Why do you value it so much?
Thrën: I don't have one. Except for my hauberk, but I only value that because it is valuable. * ironic *
14. What one word best describes you?
Thrën: Annoying?
Rwebhu: * shakes head *
15. What is your style of fighting?
Thrën: I lose.
Rwebhu: That is not an acceptable answer, Thrën. * gives a 'you should know that' look *
Thrën: Well...I enjoy wrestling better than anything else I have tried.
1. What was your family like?
Thrën: They were...fair enough, I would say.
Rwebhu: Would you now?
<Note from me> 'Would you say that now?' would be less ambiguous.
Thrën: * shrugs a little * I did not like them when I was young, but I disagree now. They were not bad.
2. Who was your father, and what was he like?
Thrën: A scholar. He didn't visit us from his library very often. * ironic * He liked strange things, and was fairly quiet.
3. Who was your mother, and what was she like?
Thrën: She was strict and did not like boy's pranks. * wry * She was exacting, but she did love people.
4. What was your parent's marriage like? Were they married? Did they remain married?
Thrën: They were married, and they stayed married, but I did not even really think about the possibility of them loving each other when I was a boy. They just lived together. But perhaps they did.
5. What were your siblings names? What were they like?
Thrën: I did not have any. But I always wanted a brother.
6. What’s the worst thing one of your siblings ever did to you?
Thrën: I did not have any siblings.
7. What’s the worst thing you’ve done to one of your siblings?
Thrën: * raises eyebrows * I – did not have any siblings.
Rwebhu: I know, I am just reading questions.
8. When’s the last time you saw any member of your family? Where are they now?
Thrën: It was – a long time ago. I don't know where they are now. * thoughtful * I expect living the same way they always have. Probably not missing me much.
9. Did you ever meet any other family members? Who were they? What did you think of them?
Thrën: No, my people came from a long ways away. They went to where we lived before I was born. There was a sister of my mother's who lived close enough that I knew of her, but I do not remember ever meeting her.
10. Are any of your family members dead? Who? How? When? How did it affect you?
Thrën: A baby died before I was born. It must have affected me because my mother never was quite the same about me as she would have been, I think. She seemed to have the idea that now I was her only chance at having a perfect son, and so she got angry when I wasn't. Which was all too often.
1. What is your first memory?
Thrën: I do not know.... Trying to understand why mother was crying, I believe. I was so little, I couldn't understand. I still do not know why. But it was the only time I ever saw my father trying to comfort her.
2. Any non-family member adults stick out in your mind? Who were they, and how did you know them? Why do they stick out?
Thrën: My friend, Baan. He was more a rascal than I was, and got me into trouble often. I suppose you could say he was a man, he was 21. But he liked getting me into trouble, I suppose. And I remember the singer well – he was always the one that told my mother. * wry *
3. Who was your best friend when you were growing up?
Thrën: Baan, I suppose. I did not really have a friend who was a better friend than all the other boys I got into trouble with.
4. What is your fondest, childhood memory?
Thrën: Finding wild animals in the bush, and making up stories about them.
5. What is your worst childhood memory?
Thrën: I do not know.... * slightly moody * Mother scolding me, I suppose.
1. Do you have a job? What is it? If no job, where does your money come from?
Thrën: I fight slavers, and my pay is tolerance from Kýkhúd. * slight grin *
Rwebhu: I will not abide lying. * slight glare * I would tolerate it under other circumstances, perhaps, but this is a questionnaire, and all answers must be strictly truthful. You know as well as I do – no, better – that Kýkhúd loves you. So don't say otherwise. * chin lifted a bit *
Thrën: * short movement of his head * * stares away into the trees *
2. Do you enjoy your job? Why/why not?
Thrën: It is fun. * smile comes back * I like the plans we have to make, and making it work for three people to take over a fortress guarded by thirty people. It is very satisfying. * grins *
3. What is your boss or employer like?
Thrën: He's the best one us boys could have, I say. He does not mind our arguing and chattering about plans and such, but he knows when it is time to make a decision, and he always makes the right ones. And he does not put aside ideas because they are a little mad – he just makes them work.
4. What are your co-workers like? Do you get along with them? Any in particular? Which ones don’t you get along with?
Thrën: Aanrasti is the only person I work with, though once we allied with another ukívu. He always does everything right, which is a good thing. It makes up for me. I get along with him, though I am not sure what you would call it if you ever saw us. * grins * He and I are always arguing or fighting. It is practice.
5. What is something you had to learn that you hated?
Thrën: How to swordfight. * wry * It was so monotonous. I had to do the same things over and over til I could do it in my sleep. I did not like it. But Kýkhúd managed to make me a fair swordsman despite that.
1. What hobbies do you have?
Thrën: What – hobbies?
Rwebhu: * explains hobbies *
Thrën: Trying to win an argument with Aanrasti?
2. Who is your closest friend? Describe them and how you relate to them.
Thrën: Aanrasti and Kýkhúd. I...love them, and they love me. I am not sure what you mean by relate. And I could not describe them in a thousand days and nights.
3. Who is your worst enemy? Describe them and why you don’t get along.
Thrën: * thinks * I do not know of an enemy that I have. They are all Kýkhúd's and Aanrasti's enemies – I am not interesting enough. * laughs *
4. What type of places do you hang out in with your friends?
Thrën: Wild places. Green places. But we play with the children closer to the villages because their mothers and fathers do not want them far away.
Thrën: Aanrasti trying to kill himself.
Rwebhu: You would call that
annoying?
Thrën: Annoying, and everything else hapless and bad under the stars.
6. What would be the perfect gift for you?
Thrën: A baby. * smiles *
Rwebhu: * shakes head * Something that people could give?
Thrën: Nothing.
Thrën: Nwerin's eyes when she is looking at me.
8. What time of day is your favorite?
14. Do you have any pets? Do you want any pets? What kind?
Thrën: No. None but my pony. I miss the snakes in Vedgaden. * grins * I used to make them dance, and be still, and beg for food.
15. What do you find most relaxing? (Not as in stress relief, but as something that actually calms you down.)
18. What kind of things embarrass you? Why?
Thrën: People watching me when I do not know it. Could not you simply guess why?
19. What don’t you like about yourself?
Thrën: Tell me when to stop...
Rwebhu: Right now. * slight glare * You brood on it too much as it is, and never do anything about it.
Thrën: I try. * a bit low * Sometimes. Sometimes I give up.
Rwebhu: You want to know why you never get any better?
Thrën: I might want to know, but not from you.
Rwebhu: * ignores * You will never get better because there is nothing wrong with you! You will learn that some day.
Thrën: I doubt that.
Rwebhu: I know it. * firm look * And you know I know what I talk about.
Thrën: * shrugs a bit *
20. How would you like to look?
Thrën: I like how I look. * makes a face *
1. Do you currently have a lover? What is their name, and what is your relationship like? What are they like? Why are you attracted to them?
Thrën: I have a wife. * smiles * Her name is Nwerin, and we love each other more than anything else. She is cheerful and firm and happy and brisk, and she always knows what is best to do. And she still does it even if she doesn't know. Need you ask why I love her?
2. Do you ever want to get married and have children? When do you see this happening?
Thrën: I am married. And I want children. But I cannot see it happening – I am not a prophet. I hope, though, and considering the amount of brothers and sisters Nwerin has, with some reason behind it. * laughs *
3. What was your most recent relationship like? Who was it with?
Thrën: * eyes slightly darken * I am not sure I understand you.
Rwebhu: Just – do not mind it.
4. What’s the worst thing you’ve done to someone you loved?
Thrën: I – * stops * Run away, I suppose. That is what Aanrasti would say.
Rwebhu: What would you say?
Thrën: * moody * Been born.
Rwebhu: * shakes head *
5. Is there something between you and the person you love? What/who is it? How can you overcome it/them?
Thrën: If you speak of Nwerin, no. We get along wonderfully. * grins *
1. What one act in your past are you most ashamed of? What one act in your past are you most proud of?
Thrën: * is silent * I... * runs fingers along his sash * * silence for a bit * Whatever I did in the Pits. * low voice * If you want to know, ask Aanrasti. He will not tell me.
Rwebhu: Of course he won't, you silly boy. You were insane.
Thrën: * does not smile * * is silent *
Rwebhu: What about...the other question?
Thrën: I do not know. I am proud of escaping my masters when I was a slave.
2. Have you ever been in an argument before? Over what, with who, and who won?
Thrën: * laughs * I have argued with Aanrasti too often to count them. He always won. Mostly always at least.
3. Have you ever been in a physical fight before? Over what, with who, and who won?
Thrën: Fighting is my profession. I lost once (not to speak of wrestling with Aanrasti), and almost was killed. But Aanrasti saved my life.
4. What do you feel most strongly about?
Thrën: The things that I love. Aanrasti, Kýkhúd, Nwerin, the Mother, the trees and the sunshine and children. And – God.
Thrën: Decent clothing. * twinkling eyes *
Rwebhu: On the contrary. * sarcastic *
Rwebhu: * makes a face *
7. What is your religious view of things? What religion, if any, do you call your own?
Thrën: I agree with Aanrasti about most everything, and he is better at talking about it. So whatever he said. * grins *
Rwebhu: * shakes head *
8. Do you think the future is hopeful? Why?
Thrën: There is no reason for it not to be hopeful. The older I get, the more able I am to be happy. That is hopeful.
9. Is an ounce of prevention really worth a pound of cure? Which is more valuable? Why do you feel this way?
Thrën: If you know that it will really prevent something. But it is hard to know things of that sort...there is that old Ttekaŗx verse, 'The man throws a stone, The birds fly away, The man is left to wonder If they would have done it anyway.' * smiles *
10. What’s the worst thing that can be done to another person? Why?
Thrën: I – do not know. It depends on the person.
11. What’s the worst thing you could actually do to someone you hated?
Thrën: Kill them. I suppose. I – don't know. I do not hate anyone.
12. Are you a better leader or follower? Why do you think that?
Thrën: That depends on who would be leading me and who would be following me. * laughs *
13. What is your responsibility to the world, if any? Why do you think that?
Thrën: 'If God wanted us to know, he would tell us.' But he did not. So I believe all we can do is do what he says.
14. Is it okay for you to cry? When was the last time you cried?
Thrën: I do not care whether it is 'OK' or it is not. If I weep, noone has a right to stop me.
When I – found Aanrasti.
Rwebhu: When?
Thrën: In the war.
Rwebhu: I know. But why were you crying?
Thrën: * dark expression, looking away into the trees *
I – thought – * stops * It was my fault. I should have stayed with him.
Rwebhu: What was your fault?
Thrën: You know!
Rwebhu: Yes....
Thrën: He nearly died. That is all. * shortly *
15. What do you think is wrong with MOST people, overall?
Thrën: * moves a bit restlessly * I never thought there was anything wrong with people overall. I like them. Often they are bad, but I do not ponder about it.
Rwebhu: * slowly * 1. What is the thing that has frightened you most? Do you think there is anything out there that’s scarier than that? What do you think that would be?
Thrën: * glances at Rwebhu swiftly with a strange, hard look in his eyes * * is silent for a moment * Falling. No.
Rwebhu: * long pause *
2. Has anyone or anything you’ve ever cared about died? How did you feel about it? What happened?
Thrën: No.
3. What was the worst injury you’ve ever received? How did it happen?
Thrën: Perhaps...when the cat tried to kill me and its claw jagged my back. I do not know.
4. How ticklish are you? Where are you ticklish?
Thrën: I do not know.
5. What is your current long term goal?
Rwebhu: * glances at me * Nikki –
......<in which several things happen, including an argument, and Thrën going mad, and me having a philosophical problem>......
* long silence *
Will you answer some more questions now?
Thrën: Is there time?... * wry, apologetic glance at me *
Me: Bits and pieces, yes. I always have time, it is simply deciding what to use it on. * smiles * * looks at Rwebhu *
7. Do you have any bad habits? If so, what are they, and do you plan to get rid of them?
Thrën: Trying to control Aanrasti. * slightly shamed * I do not let him make his own decisions in peace. I do not know how I shall stop...when it comes to it I end up not caring. Til afterwards.
8. If you were a normal person, what would you do with your life? What occupation would you want, and how would you spend all your time?
Thrën: I would raise horses. * looks a little more animated * I have always said that is what I would do. It is a good work, and I know a good deal about it, and Kýkhúd and Aanrasti know more. I think I will someday, now that I am married, for I cannot do soldier work for ever.
9. What time period do you wish you had lived in? Why? (Looking at this as an attempt to change history doesn’t count.) What appeals to you about this era?
Thrën: I am not very good with history... * grin * I have always wanted to meet the Messenger, though.
10. How private of a person are you? Why?
Thrën: Not very, I would say. * laughs * I like people very much.
11. If you were to gain an obscenely large sum of money what would you do with it?
Thrën: Give it to the Mother, I suppose. In the least, some of it. Likely all of it. I have enough for my wants and my wife's, and if we need more I can get more. I want to work for her, not sleep like a young camel on the street.
Rwebhu: A 'young camel' is a phrase meaning something like a lazy or immature young man or woman, usually man. Rough translation.
12. What would you wish for if you found a genie?
* explains a genie *
Thrën: I think I would keep away from it....
13. What do you do when you are bored?
Thrën: I am never bored.
Rwebhu: * bursts out laughing * * recovers herself * Thrën....
Thrën: * grinning * Well, not really...
Rwebhu: Then why did you say so?
Thrën: To make you laugh. * nods * And it did that very well, too.
Rwebhu: * shakes head * How would you know it would make me laugh? You didn't see the other questionnaires, so you couldn’t have known that all three of you said the same thing.
Thrën: I do not need to see them to know what Aanrasti and Kýkhúd would say, girl.
Rwebhu: Of course, I forgot about that. * a little sarcastic * * shakes head * Well, what is your real answer then?
Thrën: I get bored secretly on rare occasions, but I immediately cure myself by counting leaves.
Rwebhu: Counting leaves?...
Thrën: Well, memorizing them. Not really counting.
Rwebhu: Could you explain why you memorize leaves?
Thrën: It is practice for memorizing people.
Rwebhu: * nods * Right.
14. What is the most frightening potential handicap or disfigurement you can conceive? What makes it so frightening?
Thrën: I – don't know. Being afraid of things.
15. What’s your favorite weapon?
Thrën: Kýkhúd's sword. * laughs * It knows how to swordfight better than I do.
Rwebhu: And that – is all. You may go now. * smiles *
Me: Yes, go now.
* sits for a long while with face in hands *
