Anyone seen this yet? I've been interested since I first saw the trailer a year ago. Most reviews seem to be trashing it which had me disappointed and worried. But even those reviews say it's stunning so Hubby and I wanted to see it in theaters regardless. We went and saw it yesterday and I liked it a lot - better than Spiderman which we just watched a few days before. I'm extremely curious to check out the comics now. |

Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets? I've never heard of it, so just googled it. Is this the one you mean? It has a good percentage on IMDB. I don't think I'd go and see it at the cinema but will watch it when it comes out on DVD. I loved Spiderman, so if it's even better, I'm definitely looking forward to it.

Just FYI, a lot of people don't like it except for the visuals. And if I really think about it, the story itself was definitely lacking. But the world-building and visuals are amazing. I also had researched the comics beforehand so I think my knowledge filled in a lot of the backstory and blanks that are missing from the story. |
