I somehow managed to stay unspoiled and finally watched Arrival over the weekend. I'm so glad I was unspoiled as knowing anything would have likely ruined the movie. I liked it but it definitely had it's slow moments i.e. most of the movie.  I liked the theme that emerged at the end - it's very introspective - and it's made me extremely curious to read the short story that it was based on. Anyone else seen it? What did you think? |

I saw it! My husband and I both really enjoyed it--such an interesting concept and so very well done. I think I need to see it again though--I never remember movies well after one viewing, plus I fell asleep a few times.

Grace, I'm not sure you falling asleep through it is such a good selling point.  I don't watch a lot of Sci Fi, but it actually had really good ratings, so I might watch it if it comes onto Netflix sometime.
