I mentioned this show in the "first episodes" thread but thought I'd start a new thread to rave about it. Anyway, Miraculous is a French CGI action/adventure series that debuted in late 2015. (I'm late to the party because we don't have cable/satellite and the show only recently hit Netflix.) There are currently 26 episodes and a Christmas special plus an assortment of tiny webisodes. Season 2 should be released this summer sometime. The show is about two teens, Marinette and Adrien, who transform into the superheroes Ladybug and Cat Noir and protect the city from supervillains. Ladybug and Cat Noir don't know each other's true identities which complicates things when their adventures cross over into their real lives. Not to mention it creates a hilarious love square (Marinette likes Adrien whose alter-ego, Cat Noir, likes Ladybug who's not interested since her normal self, Marinette, likes Adrien). The episodes don't have an official chronological order and the Netflix order is very different from the original French airing. I started watching in the original French order and then realized they still didn't seem right so I switched to a fan-made one on tumblr. The episodes are mostly self-contained so it doesn't really matter. You have no idea my current level of addiction! |

Forgot to mention I like the show because it is very clean - I don't recall any toilet humor whatsoever - and cute/funny. It is also very positive and optimistic, not very dark and not scary or violent. Here are two promotional mvs for the series: |
