AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA anyone seen this yet??

Okay, I know this one is a little more in the gray area for a lot of users on this forum, but Marvel is pretty standard in the movie theaters these days too, so.

I loved it. I won't talk spoilers just yet until I see how many people have seen it (and of course still use spoiler code then) but I'm really curious to know any of your thoughts on Strange and company. :D

I haven't seen it and I haven't decided if I'm going to. If I do, I'll wait for the DVD and get it from the library.

My husband liked it a lot. Unfortunately I got stuck watching Trolls with my daughter and it was cute but so juvenile even she thought we should have seen something else. lol

Good plan. Save on those theater ticket prices. ;) For the record, I enjoyed it a lot, and there were some excellent thematic elements explored too. :D

I almost went to the cinema to see this tonight, but I decided to stay in instead. Still undecided. I don't even know what its about, I should probably go look it up haha; however Sian phoned me a few days ago and was telling me how good it was, so I was tempted to go see it.

All you had to say was "Benedict Cumberbatch" and I was there. :D

It was fantastic. It was a different take for Marvel, not only because it's the first cinematic film to accept "magic" as canon (which opens up a lot of additional comic lines that can be included, which I agree is exciting from a story perspective), but Doctor Strange is definitely more antihero than most--and not in the way Deadpool and (to a lesser extent) Ant Man are. Benedict was sarcastic, rude, and prideful, and made massive mistakes. He brought this on himself, whereas a lot of heroes have circumstances thrust upon them (Cap), or make mild mistakes which are further complicated by outside circumstances (Iron Man, Thor). No, Strange was being arrogant and "texting and driving," and he had it coming. I thought that was unique and fascinating to watch, even if it wasn't nearly as much of a tear-jerker/feel-good movie as, say, Cap's movies are.

The visuals are astounding, also.

THEY'RE BOTH SO GOOD *goes to see if there's a Fantastic Beasts thread yet and, if not, goes to start one*

I love Strange as a character. I love the writers in the Marvel universe. I love the payout on the jokes. I just, yeah.

Doctor Strange was great! I would say the most interesting visuals in a Marvel film so far. (Even though they borrowed heavily from Inception.)
