Yes, I'm going there. The idea that they would make a movie out of this game was so absurd that we just had to see it. And, we had to admit, some of the jokes in the trailer were pretty funny. It wasn't disappointing, actually. It was exactly what I expected it to be--a throwaway animated feature. And by "throwaway" I mean it wasn't anything revolutionary or deep, but it didn't promote itself to be revolutionary. It was good at what it was trying to be: a fun animated flick with some crazy characters and silly humor. The humor wasn't too bad; there are some adult nuances, but not a lot of crass humor. It was also really fun to see how they worked the gameplay mechanics into the film, although they didn't abuse that. The movie was still a story; it didn't feel like you're watching a video game someone else was playing. |

The devastation of the pigs city was just so... devastating. And the whole idea of knowingly planning to eat the bird's children. (Never mind the whole illogical planning-to-make-omelets-out-of-eggs-this-close-to hatching thing) I was truly expecting some kind of remorse or most of the pigs being unaware and turning on their king when they found out. |
