Throughout the ages many technologies have been discovered, the origins of which are virtually unknown. Some are more advanced than any known civilizations on Tira. Over the years Itaarists have made an effort to collect and study them as much as possible. However most of their secrets remain buried. Here are some of the most well known examples.

TYPE 3 CRYSTALLINE ENERGY STORAGE DEVICE:
"Sigils"



Sigils are a crystalline technology thought to be left by the Ancients. Only a handful have been discovered, they are spherical in shape and hollow, containing super-condensed liquid crystal. Most of them had already been charged with energy upon their discovery, typically dual energy. As of yet no one has discovered an effective method of charging the few that are void of energy. It’s obvious both from studies performed on the technology and from pre-charged Sigils that the amount of energy they can contain is exponentially greater than the amount modern Itaarists are currently able to charge it with. Studies continue in an effort to learn the technologies hidden secrets, but perhaps until yet more remnants of the Ancient culture are discovered they will remain unknown.

TYPE 5 CRYSTALLINE EXPLOSIVE DEVICE:
"Sigils Grenades"



Sigil Grenades are a recent discovery, they are thought to be based on the same principals as Sigils, but have been modified for use in combat. They are about 45% the mass of a normal Sigil and contain 98% less crystal fluid. As such they can only contain 2% of the charge that a Sigil can. They are shaped like a small rounded cylinder. When a Sigil Grenade is activated all the energy contained within begins to cascade to the outer shell where it focuses and then is all released simultaneously as an explosion. The time between activation and explosion is approximately 5 seconds in most instances.

TYPE 3 ARTIFICIAL MINERAL-BASED CHAIN-REACTIVE EXPLOSIVE DEVICE:
"Lithite"

Lithite is a black mineral often found close to ground level in small conspicuous patches. The way in which the minerals are deposited led many scholars to believe that they weren't natural, as did their highly volatile properties. This was proven to be so when the first set of Ancient Catacombs were thoroughly explored. Areas where great quantities of the mineral were manufactured were found, and the mineral itself was listed in the combat database as an Artificial Explosive Device. In modern times the minerals is used more often for mining purposes than for anything else.

TYPE 1 CRYSTALLINE WAR AVATAR:
"Gallinots"


Gallinots are large constructs found rarely in the ruins of Ancient’ cities. Their outer shell is made of a flexible grey crystal with an inner network of green crystal which presumably carries energy throughout the construct. Gallinots have contralateral green crystal formations protruding from the arms, legs, chest, stomach, and shoulders. The visceral musculature of the construct is made of white silicon fibers interwoven and directly connected to a primary energy source within its chest. A parietal sheet of green crystal coats the interior of the outer shell of the creature as well; as a result of this structure the energy can be evenly distributed throughout the body or focused to one point almost instantaneously. Within the head there is a unique crystalline structure which presumably processes all collected data in a similar fashion to the human brain. Finally, the eye sockets contain some of the only known photosensitive crystals. Gallinots are one of the most puzzling technologies left behind by the ancients. Most of the known Gallinots were destroyed during Preoceia, but many more have been discovered since.

TYPE 1 METALLIC WAR AVATAR:


"Goreom"


Goreom’ are perhaps one of the more recent discoveries, they are the only known construct which did not originate from the Ancients, they are also the only known construct created using mechanical technologies and not crystalline. They were created by Itaarists as a result of “Project Metal Helix” which was secretly commissioned during Preoceia by Maran Tanyoul. The research went on in Area 1 H of Rikal which is an island just off the northern coast. Most of the Rikallian citizenry knew very little of what went on there as it was occupied almost entirely by ranking military officers and their families, all of which were sworn to secrecy. Most Goreoms were created using Menodorium alloy, and Enshrite, a silvery blue liquid metal with energy absorption properties. Some of the later blueprints also had Litarade based heat shielding. Goreoms moved using a complex system of gyros and mechanical joints interconnected by hollow metallic bones through which Enshrite flows. The bones are overlaid by Shridium fibers which are woven into a solid musculature. The Goreoms power source is a hollow core made of Icthyre which is filled with electrically charged Enshrite.
