I couldn't write more than a couple hundred words that had any relationship. I still struggle with it every time I sit down to write.

Satan wants me to believe I can't write a novel. Readers say my writing encourages them. God says He crafted me as a masterpiece. The same God made you. Did He give you a desire to write?

Here are some ways to glorify God by diving into His craftsmanship:

1. Write. Don't self-edit, don't worry if it's good enough, don't worry if it will sell. Write.
2. Dream. Which characters do you enjoy? What scenery? Write that.
3. Listen. God has brought challenges and passions into your life. Your writing will reflect both and you'll likely be writing to encourage someone you barely know. Write that.

Remember Trail Rat's words:

“Hurts like heck, don’t it?” She whispered. “Makes you want to stop, don’t it?”

I stared at her. She leaned forward.

“My niece taught me to fence. My dad taught me how to win. I don’t fight for myself. Ever. I fight for those I love. My family and my friends. Bobby thinks he has you beat. Focus on who you are fighting for. Let them give you strength.”

Satan wants to hurt our ego and ability to write encouraging stories. Our Father has taught us how to win. Write for Him.
