Post subject:  Platform Assistance Needed
Finally figured out how to link my custom URL to Blogspot. I have a generic spacy theme thing going but want to head towards an actual sci-fi brand look. Know anyone who does things like art images, fonts, etc? The theory is that the same background and stuff will go on the books. However, I have two brands. The "Free Trade League", what I'm doing now, is for writing helps, code notes, and game stuff. The "Domici War" is, in theory, just about the books that are set in the Free Trade League.

At this point I'm trying to see what options are available and what questions to ask. Help appreciated!

Do you know who is doing your covers for these books? If so, they might be able to design graphics for you. If not, I would start looking for a cover designer first. Look around for samples of what you want--are there any covers from published books that you like?--and look for art styles that you like. Browsing deviantart is a great way to find reference images, styles that you like, and even artists to hire.

Browsing deviantart is a great way for me to get into trouble. I respect artists and their work but there are some places I just can't go and retain the modicum of holiness I have left.

If "Cover" is the starting point, I know someone who does that. :cool: Wasn't sure what the best process was. Your notes on atpollard's design were good. I don't think he's as interested in doing for the entire set as he was in giving me a really cool gift.

Also, I really like what atpollard did. There's a deep mix of "Wow, that's cool!" and "For me?"

Just need to be able to take the images, fonts, etc to the blog and beyond.

If you want to be able to "reuse" the cover he made for you, most graphic designers should be able to help you with that, especially if atpollard can provide the original PSD file, or the source image he used for the background.
