Reallllllly epic.

I can rap, and sing, but I can't, unfortunately, really do anything with music.

Guys, let's keep this thread to strictly song nominations. Keep the chatter to other threads or PMs. ;)

A Slave's Cry - Elizabeth Kirkwood, Evening L. Aspen

I really don't want Never Forgotten in there, unless someone can come up with good music for it... Because seriously, not just being modest here, the current music stinks. :P

Elizabether?

Ok, I'll take it off the list for now. If you want to re-nominate it we can just add it back.

And I fixed Elizabeth's name. ;) Thanks for pointing that out.

I think "Elizabether" is adorable. ;)

* grins * It's The Slave's Cry, by the way. Sorry to be picky... :P I can get it. :)

Just a question. I've done basically nothing with the music for Seeker. That was all Seer, and I think somewhere Dalet gave us sheet music for piano. So, the question is, what do you guys want out of that song?
I'm not much of a composer. But, I would be willing to take the sheet music and fiddle with it enough to include some other instruments. But I need to know what you're looking for. And I might need the help of somebody music-smart.

Cynthia has been quite busy, but she's going to get to finishing up Together as soon as she can. :D I can't wait to hear how it sounds.
I am going to edit Never Forgotten out of the lists of nominated songs if no one has done it already, if that's alright with y'all. Unless someone can come up with amazing music for it that's not repetitive, I really don't want it on the album.

I wrote a fantasy song once... I never put music to it though, and neither did anyone else. :P So I don't know if that counts or not.

It might if it gets put to music. There might even be someone on HW who could put it to music.

Question. I wrote a fantasy version of the 12 days of christmas.... Would we be interested in that at all?

It is worth considering. :D And has anyone mentioned Brendan's fantasy version of "These are a Few of My Favorite Things"? ;)

I'm not sure if my parody of Twilight using "Imagine" by John Lennon would count as fantasy or not. Here's a link to it, just in case: http://jonathangarner.blogspot.com/2012 ... pires.html

I was just thinking of Brendan's piece! :D

So, what are the needs for this project to take off? What deadlines need to be met? What things do we need to take care of? Whose pieces need vocals, whose pieces need music, whose pieces are ready to go? Have all the pieces been chosen for the project, or is that being decided after everything is recorded? Do we have a distributor yet?

*pokes* I'm not sure if we're still not taking songs that are going in our books (I personally don't have a problem with it) but I have a song of my own that I could possibly nominate. It's a lullaby. I have final lyrics and a final tune, and I also have someone working on a piano arrangement for it. I'm not sure what the quality will be like, but it's a possibility...? Celestria, Manda, and Shorty are the only ones who have heard it or seen the lyrics. I call it Elven Lullabye.

* waves hand * I wanna hear!! :D

That's a good question, though.... The Slave's Cry was written for a book too, though the book isn't going anywhere at the moment.

And I totally vote for Airi and Brendan's 'modified' songs. ;)

Another song possibility is the winners of the Firmament Lullabye contest, with permission from Gracie and the writer and composer and everything, of course. I don't know if that would work or not, but I've been admiring some of lullabies.

We want the words and Seer's tune. ;) Some musically inclined people could sing and record it and add other instruments. We're just nominating right now, and I liked the song. :D
