Well, no, sorry, it's not going to be a tale. If you want one of those, ask Katie. This is going to be a plain old story, and quite a boring one. It happened this way.

On the morning of the second day of celebrations, that is, Wednesday, a party of people were in chat. In this party were two conspirators.
The first had been pretending to be The Glitter Spreader all day, but it wasn't working. Everyone figured out who she was. So the second had an idea. If a new account was created, there would be no evidence for anyone under ML to trace. The first conspirator thought this brilliant, and went to request permission from the Admin himself.
The Admin was in a jolly mood that day. It was the second birthday of his forum, after all. He willingly gave them permission, but warned them that he could not help set up the account. They would have to find another to do so. So the first conspirator looked on her chat list. There was only one ML on it, but she would work as well as any other. A few questions and ten minutes later, the account was completely set up, and the two conspirators were ready to roll.

From here you all know the story. Between the two of them, they could be online practically all day, a feat no single person could pull off, but no one ever thought it was two people using the same account. Soon, the number grew to three, as they needed more help in keeping the guessing game going.

Who are these three mysterious people who used this account, you may ask? I, the current holder of the account, have received permission to tell you.
The first conspirator, who went to Emeth and set up the account, was the Cat herself and in person... *drumroll* Amanda Kondrael!

The second, the one with the brilliant idea, was most certainly... *drumroll* Captain Nemo!

And the third, who proved invaluable in the later stages of the scheme was none other than Shawn Henderson, close friend of Nemo.

Now here's a new question for ya'll to answer. Which one wrote this post? :D

*face/palm* Genius. Utter genius.

Now I KNOW someone guessed Shawn on the chat the first day. Was Shawn added later, or were you making us figure out whoever was on at the moment?

And. . . I'm fairly certain Cat wrote this. I would say 100% certain but yesterday I was 100% certain Cat was NOT the Glitter Spreader. Sneaky, conniving thing! *loves Cat all the same*

My guess is Amanda. I have two reasons:

1. It's unlikely either of the other two would call her Cat, since that's a private nickname between herself and Kat.

2. She called me Katie. I've never heard Nemo or Shawn call me Katie, whereas Amanda does regularly.

Shawn was added later. :D

I call you Katie sometimes, Katie. And the name 'Cat' has gotten around...

Unless it's Nemo trying to throw you off by calling you Katie and calling Amanda Cat...

All the same I think it's Amanda. Very few other people use the word "jolly", and her name was listed FIRST, and few people have the audacity to misspell "y'all" the way she does.

Hate to bust all the bubbles... but there was a hijacker in there.
Captain Nemo knows a little about this.
You see, an ML was sitting in chat and was mildly bored. The Glitter Spreader hadn't been on in quite a while, which made this ML mildly happy, because he hates dealing with things he doesn't understand. He guessed that the Glitter Spreader had retired, since after all it was the day after the party was officially supposed to last (it was the 22nd).
So someone hijacked the Glitter Spreader account for a little while, and continued the contest for pink rings, until Captain Nemo, much bewildered, demanded an explanation in private chat.
Something then happened that I won't tell you.

Me thinks this is Amanda, because she was the one I private chatted. Reiyen was the one who didn't like it, and I think it was Elanhil who hijacked it because he changed the password. Reiyen came to the rescue, though, and changed our password back. :dieshappy: Amanda would be the only other one who knew about all of this. Plus, I would not call myself Captain Nemo but Nemo in order to evade suspicion because we all know how much I love the title that comes before Nemo. So, 'twas not me. *nod nod* Believe what you will, but I firmly think this poster was Amanda.

But what if you called yourself Captain Nemo to make us think it was you because you wouldn't do that?

I think it was either me, myself, or I.

*shakes head* 'Twasn't me. And I don't think it was you, Shawn. You didn't know about the hijacker. Only Mandy and I did.

If Captain is saying what I think she was, it was the password confusion. And I knew.

*points to couple of posts above* See hijacker?

The only way you could know, Shawn, is that you were TGS when I private chatted her at one point... but I didn't really private chat her... I just made one statement that I recall.... Unless....

*thinks*

It might be you, because you're pointing fingers without even talking about yourself, Shawn!!! And you've been in this thread the longest! You're always the first to post after TGS starts her own thread, too... *glares* I have a new suspect, dear.

And 'twas more than password confusion... Amanda and I talked about Elanhil changing the password as a hijacker... unless you are said hijacker... *ponders*

Can someone explain in plain English about said hijacker? I'm still more than a bit lost...

However, seeing you all guess has been fun. :D Ya'll know something though? You're all right. That was me. :D I'm either terrible at hiding who I am, or you people know me too well. Or maybe both. XD

Maybe you should apply some strategies from the classic board game Clue...
that might help you decipher the mystery within the mystery

I didn't actually change the password. See, I thought someone else had changed it... :P

So yes. I think the creators have confused themselves and the players. Or at least this one has... :P

And I started the 'All that is Gold does not Glitter' thread, inspired by the quote the brilliant planners of this venture put in the signature of TGS. * applauds brilliant planners AK and Captain*

Um...I was NOT the hijacker... I was the avatar maker, and after the avatar was done I Private Chatted Lexi to tell her to go put it on...she found the password had been changed, so I changed it back to what she said had been an previous password, only to find out later from Twin that Lexi had gotten confused and just remembered the password wrong...or something like that. I was NOT hijacker, and even if there WAS a hijacker, it would have been Reiyen. ;)

This was so much fun to pull off. :D I hope you all enjoyed receiving the rings, completing the challenges, and seeing pink everywhere. And, who knows, perhaps this isn't the end of the Glitter Spreader, but only the beginning! ;) (But you still may not know who is the Glitter Spreader when she's on :D)

Logical Assumptions: Amanda wrote the post at the beginning of this thread. And the hijacker is Reiyen.

Ah, but you are very good at it!. At one point I thought it was Shawn, and then another spot I thought it was Nemo. And you were the last person I guessed for the Glitter Spreader!!

You now know a few of my now ever-more plentiful identities. The fun part is, whenever I get on, who I am really? ;) The fun has not stopped just because you know many of who I am. And I shall continue to make sure that glitter is spread throughout all the land! :D

Actually, just because she said she was the current holder does not mean it was Amanda. The post was written by Amanda of course, but that sentence did not give it away due to the way she worded it. :)

*grins* There is a secret way to know who is posting each post under that account. Honor Roll Members and up should be on the look out for it.

Can someone explain in plain English about said hijacker? I'm still more than a bit lost...

However, seeing you all guess has been fun. :D Ya'll know something though? You're all right. That was me. :D I'm either terrible at hiding who I am, or you people know me too well. Or maybe both. XD

Cat, NO ONE is allowed to call you Cat except myself. Only. . . you would call yourself that if you were thinking about me. You would completely kill someone else who called you Cat, and since you didn't kill "whoever" wrote the post, I thought it must be you. Plus the post sounded like you. So, both.
