Though we never would, I thought it would be funny to come up with ten reasons that would make me (or you) leave Holy Worlds. What would they be? How drastic would they have to be? I'll wait to say mine to see what y'all come up with. ;)

Internet failure?

(Tongue-in-cheek.)

There are serious moral issues that would cause me to leave a forum, but they would have to be mass - not just a few deviant posters. The entire rule structure and atmosphere of his forum would have the change - Jay would probably have to be brainwashed - so I'm not worried about that. ;)

But I don't think you intended this thread to be serious. So...

I'd leave Holy Worlds if everyone were suddenly required to write their posts in Tolkien's Elvish. (There, I've used one of the new smilies.)

Well, I guess if Jay developed a language communicated entirely in smileys and he removed all other forms of communication I'd feel a little bit inclined to lose interest.

And I suppose if he redid the entire site in shocking pink I might find it a tad annoying.

If he made a rule that everyone must use words as long as the ones he uses, I'd have to leave. ;)

If my life got so busy I didn't have time to be online then I might have to leave, at least for a while. Or if what all the members were saying disagreed with my beliefs, although I don't see that happening.

If we had to give everyone one of the animals that we created, I would have to leave.

If we had to "sing" Christmas carols on here.

Hmmm... the only thing that might make me leave is if an atomic bomb fell on my house!

I suppose that not even this could make me leave, because the Marcher Lords would probably be brainwashed too... :D

Well...

if the internet was utterly severed from Ireland so that I could not access it, I might end up not being here anymore.

I would probably start a war to get the internet back again though, so maybe that doesn't count.

God rest ye merry gentlemen...

What? I listen to Christmas music all year round!

Laughing at Amanda's idea... And I'd be in trouble too if I actually had to produce a live criet to give to people as presents.

Smilie "morse code" would be dastardly.

If a dragon disintegrates my house I might leave.

If the site went against my beliefs and convictions I would leave.

If people on here became annoying I might leave.

If people suddenly became sane I might leave.

So basically, I'm not going anywhere.

However, when the true King returns, don't expect me to stick around. :D

My parents have been to Brazil several one-time mission trips, and one guy down there said you always had to eat an Oreo in one big bite. Why, you ask? Well if the rapture happened, you wouldn't want to leave it behind! (My Daddy's joking comment: "Mmm-mmm! Eating Oreos and meeting Jesus. It can't get better than that!")

My other story about the rapture is interesting as well, but I don't have time to post it here at the moment. :?

That's hilarious, Shawn! (Out of curiosity, where in Brazil did your parents go to? São Paulo? Brasilia? Rio? Porto Alegre?

OK, you asked for mine...I'm not sure if I've got quite ten, but oh well. (Note: these are a JOKE! Particularly the one about Jay doing stuff to Holy Worlds. :D)

1. If eighty members suddenly changed their names to 'Bob the Great' and would only post about how great pizza was.
2. If Jay forced us all to communicate in Elvish or Klingon
3. If everyone quit (Hellooo? Hello? *echoes*)
4. If Jay suddenly moved the entire forum over to http://www.JayLauser.com and required us to end every post, "In homage of the great Lauser bearded one"
5. If the forum suddenly became dark brown text on a dark tiled background, with comic sans as the font for everything, and a huge 'Optimized for IE6' button at the bottom, with cheesy MIDI songs that have nothing to do with fantasy playing as soon as you entered the site...and coded in ALL CAPS (I guess mostly web designers will groan at that one)
6. If people started posting links to YouTube videos of them in giant bunny suits yelling "They're coming! Run for your lives!"
7. If certain people started to take over subforums to use for their own personal reasons (Oh now, captain! The Citadel has fallen! We still hold the Courtyard and the Vault, but without the Scholar's in the Hall, I don't know how we can hold out much longer)
8. If all the mods, MLs, HRMs, and Editors lost their positions and Jay made his name rainbow colored, promising us he would 'handle it all' ;)
9. If Jay opened 'Holy Worlds Christian Eragon-ripoffs Forum"
10. If all our old posts were deleted and couldn't be recovered
(Airanna: "Nooo! My eighty page dissertation on the Diegose!"
Me:"You think you've got problems? My six hundred topics about my world in my subforum that nobody reads!" ;)
Elanhil: "Both of you be quiet! I lost Character Introductions!" :'( )

1. If Zapfino became the default font, and the forum's colors changed from navy and silver to purple and pink.

2. If Shawn stopped giving George cucumbers.

3. If Jay stopped sounding bearded and scholarly.

4. If the HW logo changed to a white, cartoony unicorn with a pink horn and big green eyes.

5. If said logo was animated, with the unicorn batting its eyelashes and its horn twinkling.

6. If the Scholar's Hall, Citadel, and Tower Records subforums were archived in their entirety and all we were left with was the Courtyard and a bunch of bored members with smilies. (Can you say CHAOS?)

7. If the forum background changed to a gradient rainbow pattern with white text.

8. If our internet suddenly died. (Possible causes: a dragon setting our garage to flames; angry characters pulling the plug on the modem; irked parents who want me to quit writing since it's 3 in the morning.)

9. If #004000 suddenly became banned as a text color.

10. If creativity were banned, constructive insanity was forbidden, and everyone stopped writing fantasy and switched to studying ancient hair follicles and extinct pigs' teeth. (Kudos if you know where that came from.)

Or perhaps just something rather ordinary, like rat hair. (Didn't look that up, either! :D) Those were all really funny but this one made me laugh louder!

It's actually rat health, but I suppose rat hair is pretty ordinary, too. ;)

The Rainbow in the Storm- My Blog

Be careful of your thoughts; guard your mind, for your thoughts become words. Be guarded when you speak, for your words turn into action. Watch what you do, for your actions will become habits. Be wary of your habits, for they become your character. Pray over your character; strive to mold it to the image of Christ, because your character will shape your destiny.

Ideas can germinate from the smallest seeds. Collect those seeds, and let them grow in the back of your mind. You may be surprised by what finally blooms.

When God takes something from your grasp, he's not punishing you. Instead, He’s opening your hands to receive something better. The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you.

Works in progress:

The Diegosian Mark, 115,600 words (Preparing for Publication)
The Diegosian Rider, 121,400 words (Finished)
The Diegosian Warrior, 15,000 (In Progress)
