• A specific breed of serpent, Khvrti are said to descend from a family of four great serpents that once directly served Vaiern (A god).
○ SOUL aligned. While a Khvrti's body parts are functionally useless in potions, rituals, and other orders of magic, the serpents themselves are somewhat useful for telling weather. Impending bad weather is about the only thing they will speak truthfully about.
• Khvrti are identifiable from other serpents and snakes by their unique double-pupils. (Two vertical slits instead of one).
• Khvrti are incapable of learning magic.
• The most prominent feature of a Khvrti is its inability to tell the truth. A sentient species, Khvrti are a wholly unhelpful species to anyone but other Khvrti. While capable of human speech, they tend to speak in lies, omissions, and half truths. Particularly self-centered, the older serpents have a large memory. One legend records that a lord who was fond of Khvrti had their secrets betrayed by one when one of their snakes was abused. The snake then found its way to a rival of the lord, spilled its secrets, then fled.
* It has been recorded by an elder Khvrti breeder that their very oldest breeds spoke of a legend that has been passed down to every serpent. This legend speaks of a hidden passageway deep under the catacombs of (A CITY) that holds one of the last four remaining Great serpents. Due to their duplicitous nature, the breeder wasn't sure if this is a true tale or something that the serpents came up with on their own. They would not have written it down at all, if they hadn't heard it coming from multiple different serpents that had no contact with each other.

First attempt at a non-human entity in my world. I'm not even sure about why I named it Khvrti, except it sounds fantasy-esque and I'mma do something with it later. Thoughts? Questions?
Be harsh, plz
