Laws:
The Helvorr have hundreds of different laws, they are kept in books. Most laws are basic:

7: Do not murder another, or will be punished by beheading, hanging, or life in a prison cell.

14: Do not steal another man’s goat, sheep, goat, donkey, horse, sword, food, or any other possessions, or you shall be sentenced to five years in a prison cell, or you shall be enslaved to the owner.

32: Do not steal another man’s wife and run away with her, if you do you shall be burned alive, or you shall be beaten or stoned outside the walls of your city or village.

197: Do not dishonor your lord who is set in control of your city by the king. Or you shall be branded as a enemy of the Helvorr, or you shall be put in a prison cell for a year, or you shall be put in stocks depending on the severity of the dishonoring.

But there are many rules, some are a tad less logical...

98: If a man shears his neighbors lamb, he shall be charged thrice the animals price and have his right thumb cut off.

345: If a man finds a man dead on the street and loots his body, his hair shall be shaved and his money shall be given to the lord of that area.

127: If a man buys food from another man and eats it, he can not return the food and get his gold back.
