The Three Villages Of The Fallen Race:
Upon the flee of the human race three villages were formed. Their history is documented as such.

The Great War:
After the villages were formed there was peace between them for one year and thirty-six days. Until war broke out between the villages of Yernen and Realta; The Great War. Realta fought with great valor, winning almost every battle and sending the Weak of Spirit village fleeing. The war lasted for twenty years and was the cause of many casualties.

The war was called to halt upon the interjection of Wesmorin. It fought against Realta and side-by-side with Yernen. Though, even with their added forces, Realta was able to destroy the village of Yernen; conquering it and all the people that dwelled there. So this was the end of one village; now only two remained.

The Dying Villages:
Whilst Wesmorin buried itself into the forest to recover from its war-inflicted wounds, Realta grew more in size and in legends. The elders of the town of Realta brought to the attention of the chief a legend they had studied in the scrolls many years ago; long before the villages were ever formed. They read this passage;

There shall be a race long foretold of that shall fall into the lies of my enemy. Their hearts and minds will be deceived and turned from the very knowledge of my name. I will watch in pain as they flee from me and my people; hiding behind the mountains I had built for them. I will watch as they destroy themselves one by one, through war and other means. Each of them growing weaker by the day while they think they have been growing stronger. All will perish; and no one will remain. I give you this as a warning. Send someone beyond the mountains; to a land that is safer than you have been told. Send them. They shall save you.

The chief scoffed at the prophetical passage and told the elders to keep their legends solely for the entertainment of children. So with a solemn nod the elders agreed. They decided they would find three, well-learned children, and to them; they would tell all.

The Last Of The Deceivers:
Peace lasted for six years between the two villages; Realta and Wesmorin, but there was always a tension between them. One that would lead to the overtake of another village.

On the sixth anniversary of the ending of the Great War Wesmorin attacked Realta with full force. It was a quick and small battle. Realta held its own and sent the soldiers of Wesmorin back into their village, but the war was not over. Realta quickly recovered and prepared for another battle. In the light of morning the army gathered and marched to Wesmornin. They attacked; winning the battle with ease.

So was the end of the second village.

The Last That Stands:
As legend foretold; the villages are slowly dying. Realta, having conquered it's enemies, believes itself to be safe, but that is not the case. For they have not sent someone beyond the mountains, rather they have decreed a law that it is not permitted to go past the tip of the highest mountain. Due to their pride and ignorance in the warnings of the scrolls they too shall perish. With them the last of their race.

Well written, Bethy. It has an almost sad tone to it, yet also I, as the reader, want to pick up Realta and knock some sense into them. :) Good job!

Your leprechaun overlord,
Caleb

Yah, before I revised it, though...so it's all a really rough draft.
